James Carl Burrows
James Carl Burrows, 67, a resident of Klickitat, died at his home on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010.
He was born in Titusville, Pa., on Sept. 12, 1942, the oldest of five children to Robert C. and Mary M. (Shields) Burrows. He grew up in Hydetown, and Titusville, Pa. In 1983 he relocated to The Dalles where he attended Columbia Gorge Community College.
He married Paula Cummings and has resided in Klickitat. He worked for Insitu as a machinist and enjoyed fishing, hunting and helping with community meals.
He is survived by his wife Paula, Klickitat; his brothers, Bill Burrows and his wife Becky, Louisport, Ky.; and Bob Burrows and his wife Maureen, The Dalles; his sister, Ruth Ann Copley and her husband Jack, Titusville, Pa.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sibling, Richard.
Private cremation was held at Win-Quatt Crematory in The Dalles with Spencer, Libby and Powell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 20 at noon at First Christian Church in The Dalles.
