FLOOD LECTURE: Cataclysms on the Columbia, the Great Missoula Floods Lecture. The next Hood River Watershed Group (HRWG) meeting is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Columbia Gorge Community College Indian Creek Campus in Hood River (Room 310). PSU geology professor Dr. Scott Burns will lecture on the catastrophic ice age floods that sculpted the Columbia Gorge and lower portions of the Hood River valley some 14,000 years ago. The event is free, and everyone is invited.
