If you provide or receive any type of care--paid or unpaid, childcare, elder care, care related to a disability, in any type of setting--this is a meeting for you. Please join us for dinner (no cost), conversation, community building, and other activities about care in Oregon.
At this meeting, we will have a chance to connect with each other and get to know others in our area who give and receive care, and share our experiences, along with talk about what we would like to see changed about our care systems. We will take some time to learn about the care crisis in Oregon, and talk about how it affects us personally, as well as the political, social, and economic problems that are contributing to our care crisis.
At every meeting you will have a chance to take an action to improve the care system and support your fellow caregivers and clients through advocacy. These are fun, educational, and casual community meetings. We might have speakers, and we always have dinner. Kids are always welcome with their parents. Caregivers are welcome to bring clients, and clients are welcome to bring caregivers. We commit to co-create an inclusive and safe space, open to all genders/races/nationalities/religions/sexualities.
Please RSVP if you will be coming. Call or text the organizer, Cassia, at 503-488-9163
