Accidents
     Oregon State Police
     Feb. 22, 6:50 a.m.- one-vehicle, non-injury accident at Milepost 76 eastbound on I-84. Unit involved operated by Joseph Francis O’Neill, 27, LaCenter, Wash. Accident report said he was eastbound in fast lane with cruise control engaged and hit slush on road and lost control of vehicle. It went off road and hit a slope and rolled over onto passenger side.
     Feb. 20, 11 a.m.- one-vehicle, injury accident at Milepost 82 on I-84. Unit involved operated by Thomas Ernest Straughn, 61, Pendleton. Report said he was eastbound and at about Milepost 81 went onto the shoulder for a quarter of a mile. He then crossed two lanes of traffic, hit the center median, went back across two lanes of traffic, hit the guard rail, then back across both lanes again to hit the center median again and back across to hit the guard rail for a second time. Vehicle came to rest eastbound on south shoulder. A Wasco County deputy assisted on call and driver was taken to hospital.

     The Dalles City
     Feb. 21, 3:58 p.m.- took report for hit and run accident in Cascade Square parking lot. Parked vehicle had damage to rear bumper.


Police Reports
     The Dalles City
     City police made a traffic stop at Seventh and Union streets Saturday morning and cited the male driver for driving while suspended and driving without insurance. The vehicle was impounded.
     Jose Alejandro Perez Nava, 25, 530 Washington St., White Salmon, was arrested at K-mart Saturday and is accused of second-degree theft. He is also being held as a fugitive for the INS. A 24-year-old woman from the same address was arrested at the same time but is accused only of second-degree theft, a misdemeanor. The arrest came after employees at K-mart reported they had apprehended two shoplifters.
     Devin Kang Carlson, 24, no address, was arrested at East Ninth and Laughlin streets Saturday afternoon on a warrant for violation of post-prison supervision rules.
     City police took a report for first-degree theft after a local woman reported that in response to a phone call, she had sent money to her grandson in British Columbia. Later she learned that he had been in The Dalles at the time of the call and never received the money.
     The owner of a business in the 300 block of East Second Street reported Sunday morning that someone had attempted to break into that business by working on the door lock. Police took a report for attempted second-degree burglary.
     A 15-year-old female was cited for harassment and lodged at the juvenile detention facility Sunday afternoon. The assault took place in the 800 block of West 12th and the victim was her mother. She was found at West Ninth and Liberty streets.
     A 22-year-old local man was arrested in the 1300 block of West Sixth Street Monday morning and is accused of second-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors. The arrest came after police received a report that someone tried to break out a window at a business in the Cascade Square area.
     City police made a traffic stop at East 11th and Thompson streets Saturday and cited a male driver for driving while suspended. The vehicle was impounded.
     City police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1200 block of East Eighth Street Saturday evening. A male there said he had been slapped by a female. The reporting party left for the night. No report.
     City police responded to a report of a disturbance in the 600 block of Cherry Heights. They made contact with a 39-old-female who was intoxicated and injured. The male with her said she was injured while he was trying to help her to their room at the motel and the noise was him yelling for help. No report.
     A resident in the 3800 block of West Sixth Street reported Friday morning that someone had smeared something all over his vehicle. The report said this was the second time this has happened. Police took a report for third-degree criminal mischief.
     The owner of an impound lot in the 2400 block of West Second Street reported someone had broken into the cars on that lot and stolen gasoline from some of them and a deck changer from another one. Police took a report for unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.
     City police took a report for fourth-degree assault on Friday. It took place at the boat basin on Feb. 18. Both the victim and the suspect are females.
     An employee at K-mart reported Friday that he had apprehended a juvenile male for shoplifting. The 13-year-old was cited for third-degree theft and released to his mother.
     City police took a report for second-degree theft at Mid-Columbia Medical Center Friday. A patient there had a watch stolen.
     City police took a report for second-degree theft from a business in the 200 block of East Second Street Friday. The theft took place the previous night.
     Brent Jackson Odom, 23, Fossil, was arrested at Fred Meyer’s pharmacy on Friday and is accused of two counts of tampering with drug records.
     A 26-year-old man from Eugene was arrested in the 200 block of East Second Street Saturday morning and is accused of fourth-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
     Daniel Alan Walker, 53, Portland, was arrested in the 2300 block of East Second Street Saturday morning and is accused of driving while under the influence of intoxicants. Police had received a report of a wrong-way driver in the 200 block of East Second Street prior to the arrest.
     Randal Scott Lutz, 43, 3830 W. Sixth St., was arrested at West Sixth and Snipes streets Saturday morning and is accused of criminal driving while suspended and possession of methamphetamine.
     A 14-year-old female was taken into custody in the 800 block of Chenowith Loop Friday. She had been listed as a missing person in Klickitat County and was lodged at the juvenile detention facility.
     City police took a report for second-degree criminal mischief in the 300 block of East Fourth Street Saturday morning. The report said someone threw something through a window at that location.

     Wasco County Sheriff
     A deputy took a report for fourth-degree assault in the 1000 block of Irvine Street Sunday afternoon. The report said a woman was assaulted by her son. A 19-year-old was arrested. The charge is a misdemeanor. While in that area, the deputy made contact with a male and cited him for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
     Timothy Martin Brennan, 33, 3644 W. 13th St., Apt. F-3, was arrested in the 3600 block of West 13th Street Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear in court on four charges of second-degree forgery.
     Christopher Morrie Tillis, 27, Missouri City, Texas, was arrested on Brewery Grade Sunday morning and is accused of driving while under the influence of intoxicants.

     Sherman County Sheriff
     Carl Raymond Livingston Jr., 41, Larsen Bay, Alaska, was arrested in Moro Saturday and is accused of two counts of probation violation.

     Probation Office
     Kevin Cameron Walker, 37, 1714 E. Ninth St., Apt. 8, was arrested at the corrections office Friday and is accused of parole violation. The original charge was felony driving while under the influence of intoxicants.

     Regional Jail
     Scott Eric Hansen, 36, 3540 Royal Crest Drive, was processed at the regional jail Friday on orders from circuit court. He is accused of probation violation.
     Anthony Ray Barajas, 27, 313 1/2 E. Fifth St., was processed at the regional jail Friday on a court commitment order. he is accused of resisting arrest.
