Oregon Poet Laureate reads her work in Moro

— Oregon Poet Laureate Paulann Peteresen told stories, read her poetry and answered questions during a free community program May 4 at the Sherman County Public/School library in Moro. The visit concluded a tour with presentations in Condon, Fossil and Moro.

Peteresen read selections of her work and told stories about her early experiences in the region, which included summers on a Tygh Valley ranch, star gazing in Mosier visits to Celilo Falls.

The poetry reading was sponsored by Knight Writers of Gilliam and Wheeler Counties. The tour also included workshops with area students.
