March 29, 7:30 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 1400 block of East 15th Street. Officer assisted with information exchange.

April 1, 12:53 p.m. – Single vehicle versus parked vehicle, non-injury crash, 1400 block of West 2nd Street. Richard Worton, 78, no listed address, was the driver involved. Worton backed into a police patrol vehicle causing damage to the vehicle. A report was taken.

April 1, 1:26 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, 1200 block of West 6th Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of vehicle information.

April 1, 2:03 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury accident, 400 block of Cherry Heights. Nick Lowe, 31, no listed address, was the involved driver. Investigation discovered that Lowe had crashed his vehicle due to driving at a high rate of speed. He was cited and released for reckless driving. A report was taken.

April 1, 8:59 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 1200 block of West 6th Street. Officer assisted with information exchange.

Wasco County

March 30, 4:20 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury accident, 4600 block of Cherry Heights. Driver information was not available at press time. A report was taken. Crash is under investigation.

Rescue

March 29, 12:43 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 200 block of East 4th Street on a report of a fire alarm activation. Upon arrival nothing was showing. Investigation discovered two alarm technicians were on scene testing the alarms and the alarm company missed the message that the alarms were being worked on.

Personnel responded to five calls for emergency medical services on Friday, eight on Saturday, three on Sunday and four on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 200 block of East 2nd Street Friday morning on a report of a stolen vehicle. Contact was made with the victim who was highly intoxicated and the vehicle was in front of the establishment he was reporting the vehicle stolen from. He was warned not to drive.

Police responded to the 500 block of West 6th Street Friday morning on a report of a vehicle prowl. Victim reported his vehicle and his sons vehicle were prowled overnight. A log entry was made.

A third-degree theft report was taken Friday morning from the 700 block of Veterans Drive after a victim reported money missing from his wallet.

Police responded to the 1400 block of West 6th Street Friday afternoon on a report of a hit and run. Minimal damage was done to the victim’s vehicle and there were no witnesses, the incident was logged.

A second-degree theft report was taken Friday afternoon from the 1400 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported some equipment was taken.

Police responded to the 100 block of East 8th Street Friday evening on a report of a disturbance. Victim reported his father was off his medication and throwing things in the home. Contact was made with the subject was who was talked into taking his medication.

Police stopped at the 500 block of Liberty Street Friday evening after noticing a female suspect attempt to hide after the patrol vehicle passed. Contact was made with the intoxicated female who advised she felt the need to hide after they passed.

Police responded to the 2100 block of West 8th Street early Saturday morning after a juvenile caller reported his parents were not home yet and he was home alone with another juvenile. While officer was attempting phone contact with the parents, they drove up and were out later than expected, no problem was found.

A juvenile male was cited for curfew violation and minor in possession of tobacco early Saturday morning in the 300 block of Lincoln Street. The suspect was released to a guardian.

Jojo Christine Miller, 33, Goldeendale, was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Brett Clodfelter Way and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A criminal mischief report was taken early Saturday morning after a victim reported his dog woke him up and when he came to check his front door he noticed the bumper on his vehicle was on fire. He was able to put the fire out prior to officer arrival, under investigation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday morning from the 1000 block of Pomona Street after a victim reported his vehicle was damaged overnight.

Police responded to the 400 block of Mt. Hood Street Saturday afternoon on a report of a male subject urinating in public. Contact was made with the suspect who was warned about his conduct.

Police responded to the 400 block of Washington Street Saturday afternoon on a report of a disturbance. Employee advised a subject who was fired the previous day was following employees around taking their pictures. Contact was made with the caller as the suspect was gone prior to arrival; he was advised to call if the suspect returned.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 2700 block of West 7th Street.

Police responded to the 900 block of West 11th Street Saturday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Mother reported her juvenile daughter beat her up and was intoxicated. The female juvenile was arrested for fourth-degree assault, minor in possession of alcohol, and resisting arrest and lodged at the juvenile detention facility.

An agency assist report was taken Saturday evening from the 3200 block of Brett Clodfelter Way after a female victim reported another female assaulted her when she said she wouldn’t watch the suspect’s kids as she went off to do drugs. Intertribal police took assault report.

Richard Keith Lamm, 48, Yakima, was arrested Saturday evening in the 600 block of West 3rd Street and is accused of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, second-degree theft, second-degree criminal mischief, and a Yakima County warrant for being a fugitive from the state of Washington.

Police responded to the 100 block of West 2nd Street Saturday evening on a report of a disturbance. Caller reported a male subject causing issues in the area by harassing people who passed by. The area was searched; no subject found.

Police responded to 900 block of Vey Way early Sunday morning on a report of a fight. Officer checked the area and the group dispersed.

Police responded to the 900 block of Federal Street Sunday morning on a report of a dispute. Contact was made with both subjects involved and they agreed to separate for the day.

Police responded to 1200 block of West 10th Street Sunday morning on a report of a disturbance. Caller reported a male subject was disrupting Sunday service and left the church. Suspect was located and verbally trespassed from property.

A second-degree theft report was taken Sunday morning from the 1200 block of Perkins Street after a victim reported his child’s bicycle stolen.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 500 block of West 3rd Place. The vehicle was returned later in the day. Subject who took it had permission to use the vehicle.

Police responded to the 1100 block of Oregon Avenue Sunday afternoon on a report of a disturbance. Contact was made with the subjects involved and it was determined they had a verbal dispute. All were warned of their conduct.

Police responded to the 2100 block of East 12th Street Sunday evening on a report of a suspicious subject. Caller stated a female subject came to his door asking for help about kidnapping of a child that police would not assist her with. Police searched but subject was not located.

Police responded to the 600 block of East 9th Street Sunday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the involved subjects who advised they had a verbal dispute. Both agreed to separate for the evening.

An assault report was taken Sunday evening from the 1700 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported being struck in the head by her ex during an exchange about their kids. The incident is under investigation.

Donald Duane Tanner, 57, Hood River, was arrested Sunday evening in the 600 block of West 13th Street on a municipal court warrant for probation violation and is also accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

Police responded to the 1600 block of Oregon Avenue early Monday morning on a report of a dispute. Caller advised a male subject and her sister were arguing at her home and she wanted the male trespassed. The male was trespassed from the property and agreed not to return.

Police responded to the 900 block of Honey Do Street Monday morning on a report of a vehicle prowler. Witness observed a subject prowling a vehicle. The suspect was spooked and fled the area on a bike. The area was checked but no suspect was found.

Daryl Coleman, 31, 1529 East 12th St., was arrested Monday morning in the 2100 block of West 6th Street and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and unlawful delivery of methamphetamines. He was also lodged on a state wide felony warrant.

Police responded to the 400 block of West 14th Street Monday morning on a report of a vehicle prowl. Victim advised his unlocked vehicle was rummaged through overnight but nothing was missing. The incident was logged.

An attempted burglary and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle reports were taken Monday morning from the 1500 block of West 1st Street after an employee advised that several work vehicles had items missing from within; the incident is under investigation.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Monday morning from the 700 block of East 16th Place after a victim reported that her vehicle was broken into via the sunroof and had some marijuana and pipes taken from within.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday morning from the 700 block of East 3rd Street after a victim reported someone lit a newspaper on fire and pushed it through her mail slot.

A theft report was taken Monday morning from the 100 block of East 8th Street after a victim reported their lawnmower was taken.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Monday morning from the 1700 block of West 13th Street after a victim reported their vehicle was gone through and had some items missing.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Monday morning from the 300 block of East 2nd Street after an employee advised that several work trucks had been entered and had items missing from within.

A restraining order violation report was taken Monday morning from the 300 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported a male suspect has been continually texting her which is a violation of a no contact order in place between them; the incident is under investigation.

An assault report was taken Monday morning from the 3800 block of Crates Way after a victim reported being assaulted by another employee about a year ago; the incident is under investigation.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Monday morning from the 3500 block of Crates Way after an employee advised a work vehicle was entered over the weekend and had some items missing.

Police responded to the 2500 block of West 2nd Street Monday morning on a report of a disturbance. Caller reported a male subject was trying to pick a fight with his neighbor. Contact was made. He was calmed down and warned of his conduct.

A theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the 300 block of East 13th Street after a victim reported his vehicle was broken into.

A burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from the 2400 block of West 10th Street after a property owner advised that two buildings on his property were entered overnight; incident is under investigation.

A stolen vehicle report was taken from the 1800 block of West 2nd Street Monday afternoon.

An assault report was taken Monday afternoon from West 11th and Union streets after a witness observed a fight between two juvenile females. Contact was made with the victim who advised another female juvenile drove up to her as she was walking and exited the vehicle and began to punch her in the head. Officer attempted contact with the suspect at her home but she was not there. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 2000 block of West 7th Street Monday evening on an agency assist. Medics were dealing with an uncooperative intoxicated patient; officer assisted and cleared.

Police responded to the 2700 block of West 7th Street Monday evening after a victim reported her stolen vehicle showed up in the parking lot at her apartment complex. The keys were left on the seat but her house key was missing and several items were missing the car.

Police responded to the 800 block of East 10th Street early Tuesday morning on a report of a vehicle prowl. Victim reported her vehicle was ransacked but was not sure if anything was taken; the incident was logged.

Wasco County

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday morning after a victim reported she was giving a ride to a subject and he banged on her hood after being dropped off, causing a dent; the incident is under investigation.

A dog at large report was taken Friday morning from the 4900 block of Sevenmile Road.

Deputy responded to Taylor Lake Friday afternoon after a witness called in to report he observed a vehicle hit a sign in the area. Contact was made with the suspect who advised he did hit the sign and he will pay to fix it.

A theft report was taken Friday evening from the Discovery Center after a victim reported his wallet was missing. Victim called back later to report he found the wallet and all was fine.

Fernando Ortega, 22, 3640 West 13th St. No. F3, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 700 block of Richland Court and is accused of fourth-degree assault, strangulation, and third-degree escape.

Deputy responded to the 3800 block of West 10th Street Saturday afternoon on a report of a disturbance. Contact was made with a father and his young juvenile daughter. Father admitted to yelling at the daughter and spanking her as she was not obeying him, the daughter was not injured or in any pain; both were counseled about their conduct.

Dale William Baumgarden, 57, 811 East 8th St., was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 2300 block of Threemile Road and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault.

David Howard Hightower, 60, Antelope, was arrested early Sunday morning in Antelope and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Deputy responded to White River Falls Sunday afternoon after a caller reported two kayakers were trespassing on his property after being warned not to go past a certain point. Contact was made with the subjects who were warned of trespassing.

Deputy responded to the 80000 block of Old Wapinitia Road Sunday evening on a report of a suicidal subject. Caller reported his son was making threats to drive off a canyon. Contact was made with the subject who denied making such statements.

A theft report was taken Monday morning in Mosier after a victim reported she’s had several packages come up missing that have been supposedly delivered to the post office; the incident is under investigation.

An agency assist report was taken Monday afternoon from the 1800 block of West 2nd Street after assisting city police with a stolen vehicle investigation.

Police responded to the 3800 block of West 10th Street Monday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the involved female who advised a male subject and herself were involved in a verbal dispute but the male threatened her with scissors and was throwing things at her. Contact was made with the male who was cited and released for menacing. He was also trespassed from the females home.

Oregon State Police

A female driver was cited and released for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop Saturday afternoon on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 76. A male passenger was cited and released for open container.

Kailyn Virginia Peternell, 27, Vancouver, was arrested Sunday morning during a traffics top on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 102 and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines. Jasmine Lynn Rodriquez, 32, Vancouver, was also arrested during the stop and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines, unlawful possession of heroin, possession of a controlled substance, and felon in possession of a restrict weapon.

A male driver was cited and released for no operator’s license during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 69; the vehicle was impounded.

Taylor Alan Black, 51, Wishram, was arrested early Monday morning during a traffic stop at West 2nd and Terminal streets and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

A male driver was cited and released for driving uninsured and driving while suspended during a traffic stop Monday afternoon on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 92.

Jason Michael Cheney, 36, 3380 Browns Creek Rd., was arrested Monday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 87 and is accused of possession of a controlled substance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Sherman County

Anthony Skip Melson, 40, Gates, was arrested Monday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 109 and is accused of felon in possession of a firearm.

Gilliam County

Monserrat Martinez Arroyo, 22, Union City, Calif., was arrested Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 143 and is accused of failure to present and carry an operator’s license and being a fugitive of ICE.

Regional Jail

Ashley Rose Lewis, 20, 4405 Highway 30 No. 708, was jailed Monday on two circuit court warrants for second-degree failure to appear.

James Robert Phillips, 34, White Salmon, was jailed Monday on a circuit court warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

Vincent Molinari, 46, Vancouver, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Carla Hazel Charley, 43, Warm Springs, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving while suspended, and providing false information to a police officer.

Merlin Wayne Vezina, 79, White Salmon, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
