Wasco County

April 13, 8:39 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, Highway 26 near milepost 64. Information of this accident was not available at press time. A report was taken.

April 12, 9:15 p.m. – Personnel responded to West 7th and Snipes streets on a report of a burn complaint. Upon arrival a small pile was found smoldering in an open field. The pile was extinguished.

April 12, 9: 02 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 3600 block of West 10th Street on a report of a ground cover fire. Upon arrival a small fire was found burning near a scorched tree. The fire was put out, cause is unknown.

April 14, 10:10 a.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 81, on a report of a vehicle fire. Contact was made with the owner who advised his truck overheated and had let off steam.

Personnel responded to three calls for emergency medical services on Friday, three on Saturday, eight on Sunday, and three on Monday.

The Dalles City

Three incidents of car prowls were reported Friday in east The Dalles.

Police responded to the 1300 block of East 9th Street Friday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Caller reported he and his wife were involved in a verbal dispute over her attempting to leave with their child. Woman left prior to officer arrival.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Clark Street Friday morning on a report of a vehicle prowl. Victim advised several of his vehicles were rummaged through overnight, the incident was logged.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Verdant Street Friday morning on a report of telephonic harassment. Victim advised a male subject keeps texting her after telling him not too. Contact was made with the male suspect who was advised not to make contact with the victim or face charges.

Police responded to the 800 block of Garden Court Friday morning on a report of a trespassing subject. Contact was made with the suspect who was advised not to return to the victim’s property; she moved along.

Jacob David Wilson, 22, 717 East 18th St., was arrested Friday morning at West 6th and Webber streets and is accused of third-degree theft.

Police responded to the 1400 block of East 10th Street Friday morning on a report of a vehicle prowl. Victim advised their vehicle was entered overnight and had a small amount of cash taken from within; the incident was logged.

Police responded to the 700 block of West 12th Street Friday afternoon on a report of a found bicycle. The bike was taken to impound.

Abben Holt Boorman, 19, 1114 Trevitt St., was arrested Friday afternoon in his home on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

Police responded to the 700 block of Veterans Drive Friday afternoon after a victim reported he was assaulted by another resident. Staff advsed the incident would be handled.

Police responded to the 200 block of Court Street Friday afternoon on a report of a hit and run. Victim reported their vehicle was struck overnight.

Police responded to the 1700 block of West 6th Street Friday afternoon on a report of an accident. Investigation determined a vehicle being towed fell off the hitch. The vehicle was removed from the road.

Roberta Leigh Martinez, 24, 1041 High Prairie Rd., was arrested Friday evening in the 1200 block of West 6th Street on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Lisa Marie Riley, 27, no listed address, was arrested Friday evening in the 600 block of West 2nd Street and is accused of third-degree theft.

Police responded to the 1400 block of East 9th Street Friday evening on a report of a burglary. Caller reported seeing a subject enter an abandoned home in the area. The area was checked and no subject matching the description was found.

Police responded to the 700 block of East 14th Street Friday evening on a report of an electrical issue. Caller reported seeing a flash and hissing noise near some power lines in the area. Officer checked but found no problem.

Oscar Garcia, 34, 1210 East 12th St., was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop at West 8th and Chenowith Loop streets on a municipal court warrant for probation violation.

Cody Wayne Saldivar, 24, 1825 East 14th St., was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop at West 4th and Union streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Shannon Lynn Gilman, 25, 1721 East 12th St. No. 3, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 400 block of Washington Street on a municipal court warrant for contempt of court.

Police responded to the 300 block of Court Street Saturday morning on report of two male subjects having an altercation. Officer found no disturbance were found.

Police responded to the 2400 block of East 2nd Street Saturday afternoon on a report of a dispute. Three subjects involved advised they were having a verbal altercation, who were sent their separate ways.

Police responded to the 800 block of Garden Court Saturday evening on a welfare check. Caller advised she received texts from her father in which he stated he wanted to harm himself. Contact was made with his girlfriend at his residence who states she’s been talking with him all day and he’s made no remarks of harming anyone.

Police responded to the 3700 block of West 10th Street Saturday evening on a report of a burglary. Caller reported observing three juvenile subjects enter an abandoned shed on school district property. No subjects were located, minimal damage was done and there was nothing of value inside the shed.

Jarod Ryan Thomas, 45, 4728 Simonelli Rd., was arrested Saturday evening at the in-lieu site on a circuit court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Police responded to the 2200 block of East 12th Street Saturday evening on a report of a prowler. Caller advised that someone was banging on her kids’ window. No subject was found.

Police responded to the 900 block of West 9th Street Sunday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. One subject admitted to banging on the bathroom door to make noise.

Police responded to the 2500 block of West 6th Street early Sunday morning on a report of a trespassing subject. Employee advised a transient was hanging around the property. Contact was made with the subject who was told to move along and did so.

A theft report was taken Sunday morning from the 1200 block of Blakely Way. Victim reported items were taken overnight.

A third-degree theft report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 1100 block of Wright Street after a victim reported someone keeps taking his medication; incident is under investigation.

A second-degree theft report was taken Sunday evening from the 1000 block of East 8th Street after a victim reported someone took a bicycle out of their yard within the past few days.

Police responded to the 700 block of East 21st Place Sunday evening on a report of a welfare check. Caller advised her daughter was making threats of suicide. Contact was made with the victim and it was determined that the subject needed to be taken to the hospital for evaluation and the subject was not willing. She was taken into custody on a police officer’s hold and transported to the hospital.

A robbery report was taken Sunday evening from the 2900 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported he was held up by a subject wearing a white sheet over his head who possibly had a gun. Incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 3900 block of West 6th Street Sunday evening on a report of a theft. Employee advised that a vehicle left without paying for gas. Investigation discovered that the suspect did pay for the gas just the wrong pump.

Police responded to the 3100 block of Old Dufur Road Sunday evening on a report of a disturbance. Contact was made with the subjects involved who advised they were having a verbal altercation; they were warned of their conduct.

A theft report was taken early Monday morning from the 2100 block of West 6th Street after an employee advised a male suspect entered the unlocked bar and took bottles of alcohol and ran out.

Police responded to the 100 block of East 4th Street Monday morning on a report of threats. Employee advised a customer came into the location and made threats against other employees. Officers did not find subject.

Noel Sheldon Palter, 80, 635 Sherman Dr., was arrested Monday afternoon in the 400 block of Mt. Hood Street and accused of offensive littering.

Police responded to the 500 block of East Scenic Drive Monday afternoon on a report of a suspicious bag. Officer located the bag on the sidewalk and it was empty.

Police responded to the 400 block of East 7th Street Monday afternoon on a report of a suicidal subject. Officer contacted the subject and she was placed into custody on a police officer’s hold and taken to the hospital for evaluation; a report was taken.

Police responded to West 9th and Garrison streets Monday afternoon on a report of a suspicious subject. Caller reported a male subject was putting things in the bushes and acting strangely. Contact was made with a transient who advised he was hiding his belongings so he could go in the store, no problem found.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Clark Street Monday evening on a report of a disturbance. Caller advised she was threatened by a neighbor over a parking spot on the street. Subjects were warned of their conduct.

Police responded to the 2100 block of West 6th Street Monday evening on a report of a subject pan handling. Employee advised he was warned to stay off the property before and keeps returning. Suspect was verbally trespassed from the property.

Police responded to the 1500 block of East 9th Street Monday evening on a report of a theft. Victim reported a dog kennel was missing from their property. Victim called back later to advise a friend took it by mistake.

Police responded to the 2600 block of West 6th Street Monday evening on a report of a suspicious subject. Caller reported a transient subject was hanging around a building and he noticed his bike sitting outside and the subject is not in sight. Officer checked the building and everything appeared to be secure.

Police responded to West 2nd and Liberty streets Monday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the subjects involved who acknowledged the dispute was verbal; they separated for the evening.

Police responded to East 10th and Quinton streets Monday evening on a report of a subject laying partially in the roadway. No subject was found.

William Henry Anthony, 37, no listed address, was arrested early Tuesday evening at West 7th and Pomona streets on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Police responded to the 3300 block of West 7th Street early Tuesday morning on a report of criminal mischief after a victim reported her vehicles were keyed.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to Tygh Valley Friday afternoon on a report of a trespassing subject. Victim advised a vehicle came onto his property; victim also made threats to shoot anyone who trespassed on his property if a deputy didn’t arrive soon. Deputy contacted the suspect who advised he was cleaning a canal in the area. He was advised not to go onto the victim’s property. The victim was warned of his conduct.

Deputy responded to Japanese Cut-Off Road Friday evening on a report of damaged property. Victim advised that someone drove into his fence damaging it; the incident was logged.

Deputy responded to Dufur Friday evening after a caller reported he took his son to pick up his daughter but mother would not release the child to the father violating the parenting plan. Deputy made contact with the mother who agreed to give the child to the father. The caller was trespassed from the property at request of mother.

Cody James Keisling, 24, Ione, was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop on East 5th and Washington streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Deputy responded to the regional jail Saturday afternoon after staff requested a female inmate be transported to the hospital for an evaluation after she threatened to harm herself.

A fourth-degree domestic assault report was taken early Sunday morning from the 6900 block of Wells Road after a victim reported his girlfriend had assaulted him when he returned home from going out with friends. Female had left prior to deputy arrival.

Deputy responded to Celilo Village Sunday morning on a report of disorderly subjects. Caller reported several subjects were sitting outside a home in the area and were yelling at people as they went by. Deputy searched the area but the subjects were not found.

A lost property report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 2000 block of Richard Road after a victim reported his wallet was missing. Victim called back later in the afternoon to advise his neighbor found his wallet and there was no problem.

Deputy responded to the 3600 block of West 13th Street Sunday afternoon on a report of telephonic harassment. Victim reported a male subject continues to call and text her after she told him not too. Contact was made with the suspect who agreed to stop.

A first-degree burglary report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 3000 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported that someone entered her home and took items.

A search and rescue report was taken Sunday evening from the Friend area after a motorcyclist advised his friend was lost and without gas. Investigation discovered that the subject was actually in Hood River County where that department eventually found the subjects.

Deputy responded to Tygh Valley Sunday evening on a report of a domestic disturbance. Mother called to report her son was out of control and she needed assistance. It was determined that this was a verbal dispute between the two. Both were warned of their conduct, son agreed to leave for the evening.

Deputy responded to the 4200 block of Skyline Road Sunday evening after a caller reported her mother left to visit a subject in the area several hours ago and is not answering her phone. Deputy made contact with the friend who advised the subject left prior to deputy arrival. Contact was made with the mother and all was fine.

A burglary report was taken Tuesday afternoon from the 3800 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported someone entered her home and took items from withinn.

Oregon State Police

Brendan Montgomery McCanna, 30, 1700 East 9th St. No. 14, was arrested Friday afternoon during a traffic stop on Brewery Grade on a Lane County warrant for parole violation. He is also accused of failure to register as a sex offender.

Sherman County

Sharra Dawn Hamper, 52, Umatilla, was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop on Highway 97 at milepost 24 and accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and possession of methamphetamines.

Regional Jail

Larry Alan Baskins, 45, 1003 West 10th St. was jailed Monday after turning himself in on a circuit court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Parole and Probation

Andrew William Glen Buckles, 25, 1219 East 12th St., was arrested Friday morning in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
