Accidents

April 16, 2:20 p.m. – Two vehicle, injury crash, West 6th and Hostetler streets. Laura Allen, 21, 6088 Mill Creek Rd. and Florence Sheldon, 76, 1015 Irvine St. were the involved drivers. Sheldon was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash and Allen was cited for driving while suspended and no operator’s license. A report was taken.

An informational report was taken Tuesday morning from the 700 block of Floral Court after a school administrator advised two students were harassed by two other students; the incident is under investigation.

An informational report was taken Tuesday morning from the 2400 block of Old Dufur Road after a parent advised an older juvenile male was making contact with their juvenile daughter. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 800 block of Garden Court Tuesday morning on a request for a welfare check. Child services worker advised a student was dropped off at school by a taxi two hours before school started and this is the second time this occurred. Police attempted contact with parents several times throughout the day but were unsuccessful.

Police responded to the 100 block of West 11th Street Tuesday afternoon on a report of trespassing subjects. Contact was made with nine juveniles who were hanging around the caller’s property. They were all advised to move along and that they were trespassed from the property.

Martin Ray Dodson, 53, 2010 West 8th St., was arrested Tuesday afternoon in his home on a Klickitat County warrant for being a fugitive out of the state of Washington.

Jimmy Lee Cain, 20, 3817 West 10th St. No. 43, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of probation violation, providing false information to a police officer, unlawful possession of methamphetamines, and third-degree theft.

An identity theft report was taken Tuesday afternoon from the 2100 block of West 9th Street.

Police responded to the high school Tuesday afternoon after a male subject was trespassing on school property. Suspect was contacted and arrested and lodged at the juvenile detention facility.

Police responded to the 700 block of Union Street Tuesday afternoon on a report of a female screaming in the lobby. Subject was found getting into a vehicle when officer arrived. Contact was made with the subject who advised she was having an anxiety attack and was heading home to settle down.

Police responded to the 400 block of East 7th Street Tuesday afternoon on a report of a found bicycle. The bicycle was picked up and placed in impound; a report was taken.

Police responded to the 1600 block of East 13th Place Tuesday evening on a report of a missing child. While en-route the mother called back to advised the child returned home and no contact was needed.

A telephonic harassment report was taken Tuesday evening from the 2000 block of West Scenic Drive after a victim reported a female subject continued to contact him after being told by police not too. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 500 block of West 3rd Place Tuesday evening on a report of a found bicycle. The bike was picked up and taken to impound; a report for found property was taken.

A female driver was cited for driving with studded tires during a traffic stop Tuesday evening at West 6th and Snipes streets.

A runaway report was taken Tuesday evening from the high school after a father reported his juvenile daughter did not return home from school.

Police responded to the 800 block of Union Street Tuesday evening after a caller reported a vehicle stopped in front of his home and shined a green laser in his window. Officer checked the area for the suspect vehicle but did not locate it.

Police responded to the 2500 block of West 8th Street early Wednesday morning on a request for a welfare check. Caller reported he broke up with his girlfriend and he received a voicemail from her stating she had taken too many pills. Contact was made with the subject who denied leaving a message and she had no intensions of harming herself.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to the 3700 block of West 13th Street Tuesday morning after a caller found syringes on a walking trail. The syringes were located and disposed of.

Dylan Robert Lowe, 19, 1415 Kingsley St., was arrested Tuesday morning in circuit court and is accused of contempt of court.

Deputy responded to Celilo Village Tuesday afternoon to assist a parole and probation officer who was meeting with a client who had marijuana. Marijuana and paraphernalia was seized and destroyed instead of getting a citation.

Wanda Jane Bryan, 50, 3817 West 10th St. No. 2, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in her home and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and probation violation.

Deputy responded to the 3800 block of West 10th Street Tuesday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Caller reported hearing loud noises coming from a neighbor’s space. Contact was made with the subjects involved who denied having any sort of fight. No problem was found.

A found property report was taken early Wednesday morning from the 3900 block of West 6th Street.

Parole and Probation

Catina Marie Varela Chavez, 39, 1106 Emerson St. No. 3, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the community corrections office on a circuit court warrant for parole violation.
