Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

April 25, 4:15 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 2000 block of East 12th Street on a report of a carbon monoxide alarm. Homeowner advised his alarm had gone off two times in the last 24 hours. After the first alarm the resident changed the batteries of the alarm but the alarm sounded again later in the day. No signs of carbon monoxide in the home during investigation, resident advised to get a new alarm.

April 25, 4:25 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 at the Exit 85 overpass on a report of a grass fire. Upon arrival a 15 x 30 area bark chip fire was located. The fire damaged some irrigation lines and bushes. It was extinguished.

Personnel responded to ten calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 300 block of West 6th Street Thursday morning on a report of a trespassing subject. Victim advised a male subject was back on the property and wouldn’t leave. Suspect was gone prior to officer arrival and the victim declined to pursue charges.

David Alex Johnson, 20, Hood River, was arrested Thursday morning in the 3200 block of West 7th Street on several circuit court warrants for second-degree theft, harassment, contempt of court, and four counts of failure to appear.

A first-degree burglary report was taken Thursday morning from the 2700 block of West 7th Street after a victim reported someone entered her apartment and stole a computer.

Police responded to the 1100 block of West 2nd Street Thursday morning on a report of a male subject passed out in a flower bed. Suspect was contacted and advised to move along.

Police responded to the 2400 block of East 2nd Street Thursday afternoon on a request for a welfare check. Caller advised a client was walking near the railroad tracks threatening to harm herself. The subject was contacted and voluntarily went to the hospital for an evaluation.

Misty Dawn Poole, 39, 3640 West 13th St. No. F1, was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

A criminal trespass report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 1200 block of East 8th Street after a victim reported his adult son was sneaking into his basement and damaging property; the incident is under investigation.

A second-degree theft report was taken Thursday afternoon in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street after a male suspect fled the store with several cases of alcohol. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 2700 block of West 7th Street Thursday evening on a report of a possible drug deal. The area was searched but no subjects were located.

Police responded to the 300 block of East 12th Street Thursday evening on a report of a domestic disturbance. Contact was made with both subjects involved who advised they were having a verbal argument. They were warned of their conduct.

Police responded to the 100 block of West 14th Street Thursday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the parties involved who all had differing stories of what happened. No one was injured and arrangements were made to have the parties separated for the remainder of the night.

Police responded to East 4th and Court streets Thursday evening on a report of harassment. Contact was made with the female who couldn’t articulate a crime had been committed, just that a male acquaintance was bothering her. Contact was made with the suspect who was advised to stay away from the victim.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to the 5000 block of Eight Mile Road Thursday morning on a report of a vehicle driving in the area checking mailboxes. Deputy checked the area and located the suspect vehicle who was a newspaper carrier, no problem was found.

Paula Jane Stark, 45, 803 Case St. was arrested Thursday morning in the 1400 block of East 13th Place on a circuit court warrant for aggravated first-degree theft, two counts of first-degree theft, second-degree theft, and second-degree criminal mischief.

Deputy responded to Maupin Thursday evening on a report of a subject looking into vehicle windows. Contact was made with the suspect who was told to stop looking in vehicles’ windows.

Robert Lee Holowati, 36, Sandy, was arrested Thursday evening on Highway 26 near Clear Lake and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving while suspended.

Robert Michael Tripp, 48, Phoenix, Ariz., was arrested early Friday morning during a traffic stop and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Oregon State Police

Jesus Dela Garza, 43, Kennewick, was arrested Thursday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound at exit 87 and is accused of unlawful possession of cocaine.

Sherman County

Burdette Melvin Hughes, 61, Moro, was arrested Thursday evening during a traffic stop and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Regional Jail

John Dean Patton, 34, 1916 East 9th St., was jailed Thursday after turning himself in on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.
