Library hosts kids' events

— The Dalles-Wasco County Library has a wide range of activities coming up in this week and next for a variety of age ranges, from kindergarten to high school.

This Thursday, Aug. 15, a Wii bowling tournament is plan starting at 2 p.m. for fourth graders and older.

Teens and preteens can enjoy an anime party Saturday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. with a comic book and manga swap, costume contest and more.

Monday, Aug. 19, is Teen Game Day from 1 to 5 p.m.

The kindergarten through third grade end of summer reading party Tuesday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. will feature the Opera Sisters. Ice cream and prizes will be available.

Kids in grades four and up are invited to the last summer program Thursday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. Tattoo a banana, make banana splits, and get summer reading program prizes.
