Hood River HOOD RIVER — The Oregon Entrepreneurs Network’s (OEN) Gorge Accelerator Boot Camp2 has announced the selection of six early stage companies that will participate in eight intensive sessions, with a team of mentors and coaches, to learn how to effectively structure, plan, develop and manage their businesses, and prepare to effectively present their business for funding opportunities.
Selected companies include Blueshift (battery free portable electric speakers); MTMCare (connector of pharmacists and patients); Columbia Cochon (antibiotic and hormone free pork artisan sausage); Green Top Table and Bar Top Supply (eco-friendly restaurant design table and bar tops); PocketFuel (whole food based nutrition for active individuals and athletes) and Small Planet Travel (unique travel reference cards).
Graduating boot camp companies will present their businesses for exposure to expertise and investment at the Gorge Angel Conference scheduled for November 5, 2013 at the Columbia Center for the Arts in Hood River.
New this year — OEN partnered with the Gorge Grown Food Network to provide tuition scholarships for qualified food entrepreneurs via their Food Enterprise Incubator program. These scholarships were made available through grant funding from Meyer Memorial Trust. The OEN Gorge Accelerator Boot Camp2 is possible through grant funding from the Oregon Community Foundation to the OEN.
All Boot Camp classes will be located at Gorge Innoventure in Hood River, the first business accelerator in the gorge, providing business development programs, ongoing educational support and the networking needed to start and grow successful scalable businesses.
