Letter to the Editor: Homeowner help

— Homeowner help

To the editor:

Sorry, this is a little after the fact, but I saw this product profiled on TV. Barricade fire-blocking gel. It was amazing how well it protected the structure.

It is a blocking gel which is applied with a hose sprayer and can be stored for 10 years. It costs $320 for a five-gallon bucket, which is really cheap when you are dealing with your house.

Sounds like a product many homeowners may want to have on hand “just in case” and it is cheap insurance.

“The gel valuable to firefighters because it’s mixed with water using a 1-to-99 ratio, meaning little gel is needed to fight a large fire.”
