Accidents

Wasco County

August 28, 3:23 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury accident, Mosier. Driver information was not available. Driver parked vehicle and forgot to set emergency brake which caused the vehicle to roll down an incline and into some bushes. No report taken.

Oregon State Police

August 28, 1:35 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 114. Driver information was not available. One driver was attempting to pass another when the car swerved and hit the other driver. Trooper assisted with information exchange, no report taken.

Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

August 28, 6:59 p.m. – Crews responded to the 4100 block of Chenowith Road on a report of a grass fire. Upon arrival a large 50-by-50 area was found burning slowly up a hillside. The fire was quickly extinguished. There were no witnesses and the cause of the fire is unknown.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 2300 block of West 10th Street Wednesday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the male and female involved who advised the argument was verbal but both admitted to physically harming one another. Neither subject wanted to pursue charges. An informational report was taken.

Kenneth William Holbrook, 27, 1106 Emerson Dr. No. 2, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at West 16th and Kingsley streets and is accused of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, attempted unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, two counts of second-degree criminal mischief, attempting to elude a police officer, third-degree theft, and interference with a police officer. He was also arrested on a circuit court warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the 1300 block of West 2nd Street.

Police responded to the 2700 block of West 7th Street Wednesday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with both subjects involved who advised they were having a verbal dispute. The female half was trespassed from the property.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to Maupin Wednesday afternoon after a driver reported someone threw a water balloon at their vehicle as they were driving causing the windshield to break. Contact was made with the suspect who threw the balloon who was only playing a prank. Victim and suspect handled the situation civilly, the incident was logged.

Oregon State Police

Mark James Henderson, 40, Lewiston, Idaho, was arrested Wednesday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 110 on a Jackson County warrant for two counts of second-degree failure to appear.

Rhannon Fay Kunis, 28, Portland, was arrested Wednesday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound at exit 85 on a Marion County warrant for probation violation.

Quade Rashid Brice, 28, Brownstown, Wash., was arrested early Thursday morning in Celilo Village and is accused of providing false information to a police officer. He was also arrested on a Yakima County warrant for being a fugitive from the state of Washington.

Regional Jail

Tyrone David Roberts, 44, Portland, was transported by Clackamas County and jailed after being arrested on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

Brandy Marie Neblock, 33, Washougal, Wash., was transported by Clark County and jailed after being arrested on a Sherman County warrant for violation of post-prison supervision sanctions.
