Accidents

The Dalles City

November 27, 3:58 p.m. – Single vehicle versus parked car, non-injury accident, 400 block of East Scenic Drive. Vehicle rolled away from parking stall striking another parked car. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

November 27, 5:41 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, 500 block of West 2nd Street. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

December 2, 10:29 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, West 10th and Walnut streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of information. A juvenile driver was cited for no operator’s license and later arrested for second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was released to a juvenile probation officer.

Fire

November 28, 8:40 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 1100 block of Pomona Street on a burn complaint. Upon arrival a small burn pile was found with yard debris. Owner was contacted and he advised he put the fire out and didn’t realize it had started back up. The fire was extinguished and the property owner had a permit on file.

November 29, 7:21 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 2000 block of State Road in Mosier on a report of a structure fire. It was determined the home was out of the service district and Mosier Fire was already on scene fighting the blaze. Mosier requested the use of a tender until theirs arrived.

December 1, 6:54 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 3300 block of Columbia View Drive on a report of a panel alarm. Upon arrival nothing was showing. The zone was looked over and no signs of water flow were detected. An air compressor was located which was running hotter than normal but unknown if this triggered the alarm. Staff was advised to call their maintenance person to look at the alarm.

December 1, 12:59 p.m. – Personnel responded to West 2nd and Lincoln streets on a report of a gas odor. Upon arrival an odor was observed. A vent from a building was located and determined this is where the leak was coming from. Crew waited on scene until the gas company arrived to fix the problem.

December 2, 11:17 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 1600 block of East 11th Street on a report of a smoke investigation. Resident advised hearing a buzzing sound in the home followed by the smell of smoke. Nothing was visible upon arrival. The home was checked out and no problem was found.

Personnel also responded to eight calls for emergency medical services on Wednesday, six on Thursday, three on Friday, six on Saturday, one on Sunday and three on Monday.

The Dalles City

A runaway report was taken Wednesday morning from the 2600 block of West 10th Street.

A death investigation report was taken Wednesday morning from the 1500 block of West 12th Street.

Benjamin James Slusher, 29, no listed address, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 1000 block of East 9th Street on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the 1100 block of Lewis Street after a victim reported his vehicle was entered and had some items missing.

A theft report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the 700 block of West 12th Street after a victim reported a check was stolen from him.

Police responded to the 1100 block of Eric Court Wednesday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. One of the subjects involved was arrested on a circuit court warrant for failure to appear.

A burglary report was taken Wednesday evening from the 200 block of West 6th Street.

Leroy Charles Shockley Jr., 45, no listed address, was arrested Wednesday evening at West 7th and Russula streets and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and probation violation.

Joshua Warren Hug, 27, Dufur, was arrested Thursday morning in the 1200 block of West 6th Street and is accused of first-degree theft.

A found property report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 1700 block of East 14th Street after a bag was found with some belongings in it.

A harassment report was taken Thursday evening from the 1600 block of Riverview Street after a juvenile female advised her father hit her during a dispute. Male suspect left prior to officer arrival; the incident is under investigation.

Conan Setefano Iaulualo, 26, 3640 West 13th St. No. E6, was arrested Friday morning in the 2600 block of West 6th Street on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

Police responded to the 1000 block of East 9th Street Friday afternoon after receiving an incomplete 911 call from a residence. Four children under the age of eight were found home alone. Two mothers of the child inside were tracked down and cited for second-degree child neglect.

A found bicycle report was taken Friday afternoon from the 200 block of West 2nd Street after a bicycle was left at a business. The bike was taken to impound.

Gabriel Barbosa-Lopez, 42, Hermiston was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop at West 2nd and Webber streets and is accused of driving while suspended and being a fugitive of ICE.

Bradley Roy Schilling, 50, 1014 Garrison St., was arrested Friday evening at West 9th and Trevitt streets and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and resisting arrest. He was also arrested on a Multnomah County warrant for contempt of court.

Cassandra Leanne Underwood, 23, 308 West 6th St. No. 2 was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop at West 10th and Wright streets on a circuit court warrant for probation violation. Thomas Elliott West, 33, Kent, was also arrested and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and failure to register as a sex offender.

An assault report was taken early Saturday morning at East 3rd and Washington street after a victim reported two subjects jumped out of their vehicle in the area and assaulted him; the incident is under investigation.

Nicholas Gage McCabe, 22, no listed address was arrested Saturday afternoon at West 9th and Garrison streets and is accused of probation violation.

A third-degree theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 1300 block of West 6th Street after an employee advised a male suspect fled the store with merchandise.

William Joseph Flood, 44, no listed address, was arrested Saturday evening in the 300 block of Lincoln Street and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

Brandon Kyle Helman, 33, no listed address, was arrested Sunday morning during a traffic stop at West 2nd and Pentland streets on a circuit court warrant for two counts of probation violation.

Joshua Alan Miller, 20, 807 West 12th St., was arrested Sunday evening in his home on a circuit court warrant for probation violation and a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday evening from the 300 block of Lincoln Street.

Police followed a suspicious vehicle early Monday morning near East 14th and Dry Hollow streets when a male passenger jumped out of the truck and fled police on foot. The driver was cited for no operator’s license and driving uninsured.

Wasco County

A theft report was taken Wednesday morning from Celilo Village.

Deputy responded to the 1100 block of Starlight Drive Wednesday evening after a caller reported his girlfriend may have overdosed. Female subject was found and taken to the hospital for treatment; an informational report was taken.

A burglary report was taken early Thursday morning from Tygh Valley.

Deputy responded to the Rowena Loops Thursday morning after a call came in regarding shots fired in the area. The area was searched but nothing suspicious was located.

Deputy responded to the juvenile detention facility Thursday afternoon after a juvenile was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. Subject was cited.

Clinton Blue Harrington 45, 813 East 13th St., was arrested Thursday evening during a traffic stop on Highway 197 near milepost 19 and is accused of felon in possession of a weapon.

A death investigation report was taken Friday afternoon from the 4700 block of Simonelli Road after a caller reported finding his mother deceased in her home.

Oregon State Police

Trooper received information Monday morning that a stolen vehicle was leaving Cascade Locks and heading east on Interstate 84. The vehicle was found and led police in a pursuit to milepost 69 where the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Douglas Levi Hormann, 32, Stevenson, Wash., was arrested and is accused of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, reckless driving, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, reckless endangering, and first-degree criminal trespass.

Gilliam County

Michael Anthony Mullikin, 29, was arrested Sunday evening in Arlington and is accused of probation violation.

Regional Jail

Willa Jean Cloud, 52, Lyle was arrested Friday evening and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Jacob Daryl Spalding, 22, Lyle, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for two counts of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Stephanie Dawn Oberg, 38, 1100 East 9th St., was jailed after turning herself in on a circuit court warrant for first-degree theft.

Corrections

In the Sunday, Dec. 1, article “Guard families need help,” the organization raising money for the Oregon National Guard Christmas party in The Dalles was misidentified. The correct name is the Friends of The Dalles Military.

In the Sunday, Dec. 1, article “Farm Bureau works for agriculture,” Orchard View Farms Packing House was identified as located on Threemile Road. It is on Skyline Road. Also, the phone number for Karen Polehn was incorrect. The correct number is 541-340-9431.
