Santa Claus is coming to... Wasco

Santa will be coming to the City of Wasco on Saturday, Dec. 14, for an old-fashioned holiday celebration.

Santa will be settling in for a visit at the Wasco Annex (the former Wasco School), arriving in his sleigh at 2 p.m. and staying until 5 p.m.

While Santa is busy inside, Tom Lepinski will borrow the sleigh to giverides around town, with drop-off and pick-up sites at Wasco City Hall and the Wasco Annex.

At the same time, the Wasco City-Community Library will have its annual holiday fundraiser and book sale at its new location in the Wasco Annex.

Both new and used books will be on sale. Refreshments will be available for everyone. Games and prizes are planned for kids. Door prizes for young and old will also be given away.

Drawings for door prizes will be held at 3, 4 and 5 p.m. Tickets are free and can be picked up at the Wasco Annex and participating stores in Wasco.

Wasco’s downtown merchants will be joining in the holiday celebration by offering plenty of holiday cheer — with some handing out treats to the kids, some giving tickets for the library door prizes, and some offering special holiday bargains.
