VA launches new program

The VA is launching a new program, the VA Dental Insurance Program (VADIP).

This is a pilot program to create affordable dental care for eligible veterans, their spouses, and dependent children. Veterans enrolled in the VA health care program and dependents enrolled in the Civilian Health and Medical Program (CHAMPVA) are eligible to participate in VADIP beginning Jan. 1, 2014.

Local dentists are participating in VA-contracted plans provided by Delta Dental and Met Life.

Eligible individuals interested in participating in VADIP may apply by mail, online, or by phone.

For details, visit and call Russell or Patrick at the Wasco County VSO at 541-506-2502. Russell and Patrick can help veterans complete the required forms.
