Accidents

The Dalles City

December 16, 5:00 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, West 2nd and Pentland streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Wasco County

December 15, 3:36 p.m. – Single vehicle, injury accident, Tygh Valley. Driver went off the highway due to brake failure. She was taken to the hospital for evaluation; a report was taken.

Oregon State Police

December 17, 1:21 a.m. – Single vehicle, injury accident, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 134. Jessica Lynn Sanders, 30, Gresham, was the involved driver. Sanders stated her dog distracted her causing her to wreck the vehicle but later admitted she may have fallen asleep. Driver’s husband picked her up from the scene and took her back to Gresham.

Fire

December 13, 3:57 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 1100 block of Morton Street on a report of a burn complaint. Caller reported their neighbor was burning garbage and plastics in their burn pile. The area was searched and no burn pile was located.

December 15, 2:59 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 1300 block of East 13th Street on a report of a large fire. A bonfire was found. The occupant advised they were standing by until the fire was out.

December 15, 7:18 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 3300 block of Columbia View Drive on a report of a panel alarm. The alarm location was in an area where construction was going on for remodeling for water damage that occurred in the previous week. Contact was made with workers who had no idea the alarm went off.

December 16, 10:30 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 2200 block of Del Vista Road on a burn complaint. Contact was made with a property owner who had recently purchased the land that already had pre-existing piles of debris and decided to burn them. Some of the piles had illegal materials and the owner was advised to extinguish the piles. He was also made aware of the burning regulations.

Personnel also responded to four calls for emergency medical services on Friday, four on Saturday, six on Sunday and eight on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

A found property report was taken Friday morning from the 1800 block of East 12th Street after a caller reported finding a backpack abandoned by his front door. The backpack was seized.

An informational report was taken Friday afternoon from the hospital after staff advised a patient was attempting to leave and they felt it was safe for the patient to do so. The subject fled prior to officer arrival.

An informational report was taken Friday afternoon from the 2400 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported her landlord was acting suspicious by looking into her apartment when she is home; victim also believes there are secret cameras in her home. The incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Friday afternoon from the 200 block of East 14th Street.

Police responded to the high school Friday evening on a report of a student making verbal threats to a staff member. The student was trespassed from the property.

A hit and run report was taken Friday evening from the 800 block of Chenowith Road.

Kevin Dwayne Hester, 29, 201 Court St., was arrested Friday evening in the 900 block of Pomona Street on a circuit court warrant for two counts of first-degree failure to appear and one second-degree failure to appear. He is also accused of parole violation. Elizabeth Carty, 44, no listed address, was also arrested and is accused of hindering prosecution.

Police responded to the 500 block of East 9th Street early Saturday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Victims advised an intoxicated family member was causing issues at the home and had physically struck a few family members. Suspect fled prior to officer arrival. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday morning from the 400 block of East Scenic Drive after two parked vehicles had their windows broken overnight.

Police responded to the 1200 block of West 6th Street Saturday morning after an employee advised they received a forged prescription; a report was taken and is under investigation.

William Keith Brace, 41, 1219 Jordan St., was arrested Saturday morning in his home and is accused of hit and run.

Police responded to the 3300 block of West 6th Street Saturday afternoon after an employee called and advised they received a forged prescription. A report was taken and is under investigation.

Police attempted to contact a wanted subject Saturday evening at East 3rd and Federal streets but the suspect fled on foot. The area was searched but the suspect was not located.

Raymond Allen Baker, 22, 1173 Murray Dr., was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop at West 8th and Cascade streets and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and unlawful possession of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school. Travis Lawrence Cooper, 25, 808 C St,. was also arrested and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and unlawful possession of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school.

Police responded to the 2500 block of Mill Creek Road Sunday morning on a report of a hit and run. Victim stated a male subject ran his vehicle into their retaining wall and then the subject fled on foot. Suspect was located and cited for no operator’s license and driving uninsured.

A dog bite report was taken Sunday morning from the 2500 block of Old Dufur Road.

A first-degree burglary report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 700 block of East 18th Street after a victim reported someone entered his home and took some items.

William David Orebaugh, 46, 3817 West 10th St. No. 29, was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop in the 900 block of Chenowith Road on a municipal court warrant for contempt of court.

Police responded to the 1200 block of West 6th Street Sunday afternoon after an employee found a cookie jar filled with marijuana. The property was seized and a report was taken.

William Joseph Flood, 44, no listed address, was arrested Sunday evening in the hospital and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass, second-degree disorderly conduct, and interference with a police officer.

Police made contact with a suspicious subject in a vehicle early Monday morning in the 1700 block of West 6th Street. The subject was actively eating a box of laundry soap and stated he was trying to catch himself on fire. It was determined the subject was going through a drug induced psychosis and was taken to the hospital on a police officer’s hold. A report was taken.

Richard Bryan Jenkins, 53, no listed address, was detained early Monday morning in the 1700 block of West 6th Street and placed at the regional jail for a civil detoxification.

A hit and run report was taken Monday morning from West 1st and Union streets after a railroad crossing arm was found damaged.

Yvette Marie Black, 43, Murdock, Wash., was detained Monday afternoon in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and placed at the regional jail for a civil detoxification.

Police responded to the high school Monday afternoon after a student was found with marijuana in his possession on school grounds. He was cited for unlawful possession of marijuana within 1000 feet of a school and released to a parent.

A burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from the 500 block of West 11th Street after a victim reported some items were missing from their garage.

A second-degree forgery report was taken Monday afternoon from the 500 block of East 3rd Street after an employee advised a customer was making their own gift certificates for their shop and using them; the incident is under investigation.

An informational report was taken Monday evening from the 2600 block of West 6th Street after an employee reported two juvenile females came into the store attempting to purchase some items with a credit card that was not in either subject’s name. The incident is under investigation.

An informational report was taken Monday evening from the 600 block of Wasco Drive after a caller reported a neighbor advised him a door was open to his home. Officers checked the home and no one was found inside.

Julia Melanie Ecke, 37, Keizer, was arrested Monday evening at the police station on a circuit court warrant for aggravated identity theft, six counts of first-degree theft and 32 counts of identity theft.

Rachel Leeann Derryberry, 23, 400 East 13th St., was arrested early Tuesday morning at her home on a Multnomah County warrant for unlawful delivery of methamphetamines.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to Wamic early Saturday morning after a victim reported being assaulted at a bar in the area. Investigation discovered the victim was not being truthful and was never at the establishment; her injuries were sustained from a fall. She was cited for initiating a false report in lieu of arrest.

Stephen Randall Shockey, 22, 310 East 12th St. was arrested Saturday evening in the 4100 block of Chenowith Road and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct.

Stacey Leatitia Holland, 30, 2427 Wright St. was arrested early Sunday morning at West 6th and Trevitt streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Oregon State Police

Kimberly Alice Muenzer, 33, Mosier, was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 81 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A male suspect was cited and released for third-degree theft and criminal trespass Saturday afternoon on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 97 after he was located on the railroad tracks taken steel from the area.

Randall G. Noxon, 36, 4660 Cherry Heights Rd., was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop on West 10th and Cherry Heights and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Regional Jail

Thomas Bennie Heinige, 40, 3450 Acorn Rd., was transported and jailed Friday after being arrested on a circuit court warrant for two counts of probation violation.

Thomas Llewellyn Jones, 54, Portland, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for hit and run.

Abraham James Hunt, 46, Warm Springs, was transported and jailed Monday after being arrested on a Gilliam County warrant for probation violation.

Rochelle Lynette Carter, 31, 800 East 13th St. was booked and released Monday after turning herself in on a circuit court warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Christopher Allen Kelley, 52, Portland, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court warrant for four counts of first-degree theft and four counts of abuse of a memorial to the dead.

Parole & Probation

Kimberly Kaye Hawkins, 36, 2308 East 12th St. was arrested Friday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
