Letter to the Editor: Great job

— Great job

To the editor:

I just wanted to say what a wonderful job the Salvation Army has been doing with their store these past few weeks.

Not only has their store been cleaner and more organized, but their book area is quite organized. I have not seen the books quite that nice in a few years to be honest. All the hardbacks are in the same place, which make it easier for an older man like myself to look through them rather then in all the bins, which are hard to bend over and sift in all the time.

I also very much like the prices of not only the books but all the items.

I am on a VA Pension allowance, which lets me live on just over a thousand a month and after rent and bills it is not much to live on so I am happy that the prices here are quite manageable at just 75 cents a hardback.

I can’t shop at the other thrift shops because they price everything per item and it is too hard for me to figure out and too expensive for a second hand shop.

Thank You Salvation Army for thinking with your brains and not your pocketbooks and thank you for having such an orderly store and friendly workers.
