Letter to the Editor: Last days?

— Last days

To the editor:

I would like to correct myself concerning my last letter. The issue is that we are living in the last days before Jesus’ second coming. In Matthew 24:12, Jesus says that lawlessness will abound and the love of many will wax cold (grow cold).

If you watch Channel 12 in the morning you will hear and see the result of so much crime (lawlessness) that took place in Portland the previous night that it will take one half hour to report it. Daniel 12:4 says that in the last days men will go to-and-fro and knowledge will increase. It also says in Luke 17:28, as it was in the days of Lot, so shall it also be in the days of the coming of the son of man. Lot lived in Sodom, where homosexuality dominated society. That is why God rained fire and brimstone on that city and others. A parallel to that could be The Dalles and Mosier, which would probably include Mosier, Sevenmile Hill, Rowena, Dufur and Maybe White Salmon, Bingen and Dallesport.

Before Jesus comes, the Bible says a conflict will occur which will kill one third of the world population and it will start in the Euphrates river area. Well, guess where the chaos is at now?

Many Bible scholars believe that conflict started Sept. 11, 2011. After that conflict (World War III) there will be timed events — too much to cover now — like one world government, one basic religious order, one world army (U.N.?) which will end up attacking Israel — Battle of Armegeddon — and the second coming of Jesus. We are in for a chaotic future and man will prove he can’t govern himself.

We have “In God We Trust” on our money, but we reject God in our actions. We reject prayer in Jesus’ name in our military, yet want His blessing. We reject His plan for husband and wife and rejoice over same-sex marriage. We parade over homosexual lifestyles, but can’t have the 10 Commandments in schools. We kill over 1 million babies each year and rejoice over planned parenthood. The day will come when our rejoicing will turn to chaotic terror.

Our Christmas is all over sales and money and door-busting clamor over worldly goods. I have not heard one thing about Jesus in the news.

Billy Graham said, “Take Jesus out of Christmas and nothing would change.” Wake up!
