Accidents

The Dalles City

December 27, 6:22 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, West 7th and Snipes streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of information.

Wasco County

December, 29, 7:39 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury accident, Highway 197, milepost 3. Driver information was not available. Driver lost control due to icy conditions and the vehicle was towed. A report was taken.

December 29, 8:27 a.m. – Single vehicle, unknown injury crash, Three Mile and Steele roads. Vehicle was found crashed off the road with no sign of anyone around. There were no signs of injury and foot prints were located from the incident to the main road.

Fire

December 28, 3:32 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 3600 block of West 6th Street on a report of a smoke alarm activation. Investigation discovered that some employees were sanding sheet rock in which the dust particles set off the alarm. Employees stopped sanding the materials and reset the alarm, no problem found.

December 28, 8:40 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 600 block of East 3rd Street on a report of a dumpster fire. Upon arrival an employee was found with a garden hose attempting to extinguish the fire. Witnesses advised they heard a loud pop sound and then noticed the dumpster fire. Units extinguished the fire and cleared the area.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical services on Friday, seven on Saturday and five on Sunday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Animal control officer responded to a gravel pit off River Road Friday afternoon after three dogs were discovered with mange.

Police responded to the 900 block of East 8th Street Friday afternoon after a caller reported observing two male subjects applying graffiti in the area. A report was taken for criminal mischief and the incident is under investigation.

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday evening from the 700 block of East 17th Place after a victim reported their van window was shattered.

Ethan John William Stephens, 22, 1037 Pomona St. Unit D, was arrested early Saturday morning in the 1100 block of West 2nd Street on a circuit court warrant for parole violation.

Joshua Casey Moore, 24, 836 Hostetler Way, was arrested early Saturday morning at West 2nd and Liberty streets on a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

Jason Michael Barker, 27, Dallesport, was arrested Saturday morning at West 4th Street and West 3rd Place on a circuit court warrant for failure to appear. He is also accused of two counts of carrying a concealed weapon.

A third-degree theft report was taken Saturday evening from the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street after an employee advised a female suspect fled the store with a bottle of wine without paying; the incident is under investigation.

David Carroll Hickman, 52, Alamogordo, New Mexico, was arrested early Sunday morning in the 100 block of West 2nd Street on a Deschutes County warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Summit Storm Wayne Bohannon, 19, 3120 Old Dufur Rd. No. 5, was arrested Sunday morning in the 400 block of East 1st Street and is accused of carrying a concealed weapon.

Wesley Lee Martens, 29, 315 West 6th St. No. 4, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 1400 block of West 6th Street and is accused of third-degree theft.

Rodney William Alley, 53, 200 West 2nd St. No. 151, was arrested Sunday afternoon in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday evening from the 3600 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported a vehicle pulling out of the parking lot pinned him against his vehicle and left the area. The incident is under investigation.

A lost property report was taken Sunday evening from the 1100 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported he was at the location earlier in the day and forgot a bag full of motorcycle gear and when he returned it was gone.

Matthew Joseph Cobos, 36, 1106 Emerson St. No. 12, was arrested early Monday morning in the 2700 block of West 7th Street on a circuit court warrant for parole violation.

Wasco County

An informational report was taken early Friday morning in Tygh Valley after a victim reported a female subject had violated a no contact order. Investigation discovered the order was no longer in effect. Victim also reported the subject stole some items from the home; the incident is under investigation.

Lori Alene Holliday, 47, no listed address, was arrested Friday evening in Tygh Valley and is accused of first-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal mischief, and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

Mark Thomas Heidegger, 57, Washougal, Wash., was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Sherman County

William Ray Lynde, 54, no listed address, was arrested Friday morning in Biggs Junction and is accused of first-degree criminal trespass and theft of services. He was also arrested on a Sherman County warrant for failure to appear.
