Police responded to the 1700 block of West 6th Street Wednesday morning on a report of a gun shots in the area. Police checked the area but found nothing suspicious
Police responded to the 1500 block of East 10th Street Wednesday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the subjects involved who advised they were having a verbal argument. They were warned of their conduct.
Jason Wesley Magill, 38, no listed address, was arrested Wednesday morning at West 6th and Lincoln streets on two circuit court warrants for probation violation and a Hood River county warrant for probation violation.
Police responded to the library parking lot Wednesday morning after a caller reported observing a male subject defecate in the bushes. Contact was made with the subject who advised he attempted to defecate in the bushes but was too late and soiled himself. He was trespassed from the property.
An identity theft report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the 1300 block of East 11th Street after a victim reported her debit card was used fraudulently.
Ryan Alexander Ross, 18, 1120 Pine St., was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 1200 block of West 6th Street and is accused of second-degree theft.
A reckless burning report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the college after an employee advised someone wrapped the college sign in toilet paper and set it on fire. There was no damage to the sign. Incident is under investigation.
A hit and run report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the high school after a student reported their vehicle was hit sometime during school hours.
A theft report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street after a victim reported her wallet was stolen the previous day from her shopping cart.
An agency assist report was taken Wednesday afternoon from the 2000 block of East 15th Street.
An informational report was taken Wednesday afternoon after a victim reported losing his wallet at an establishment the previous day and someone deposited an empty envelope into his bank account.
Police responded to the roundabout Wednesday evening on a report of a juvenile problem. Caller reported several juveniles were chasing each other around the round about. Contact was made with the subjects who were warned of their conduct and they moved along.
Police responded to West 5th and Liberty streets Wednesday evening on a report of kids fighting. Officer checked the area but no kids were found. Contact was made with several residents and no one observed or heard a commotion.
Wasco County
Deputy responded to the Maupin area Wednesday morning on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Resident advised a vehicle had shown up unattended last evening and was till there in the morning. Vehicle had been moved by the time deputy made it to Maupin.
Deputy responded to Wamic Wednesday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with male and female subjects who were fighting over car keys. Deputies stood by until the situation calmed and the pair were warned of their conduct.
Oregon State Police
A male driver was cited and released for driving uninsured during a traffic stop Wednesday evening on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 85; the vehicle was impounded.
Jeannie Essie Adams, 72, Antelope, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at a state police officer in Madras and is accused of three counts of first-degree aggravated theft, two counts of aggravated identity theft, and 21 counts of identity theft.
Than Eric Johnson, 24, Minot, N.D., was arrested during a traffic stop early Thursday morning at Highway 197 and Bret Clodfelter Way and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful delivery of marijuana, and possession of a controlled substance.
Sherman County
Jacob Allen Bright, 34, Madras, was arrested Wednesday evening during a traffic stop in Biggs Junction and is accused of driving while suspended.
Parole and Probation
James Edward Wham, 25, 722 East 14th St. was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
