TD Softball to open sign dates

The Dalles girls softball is announcing two signup days for local girls from the ages 5-18.

The first signup day is from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at The Dalles Middle School Commons.

The second date is planned for Thursday, Jan. 31 from 6-8 p.m. at TDMS in the Commons.

Cherry Crush holding tryouts

The Dalles Cherry City Crush 10U softball program is announcing tryouts for girls who want to be on a traveling team.

Tryouts start at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Wahtonka High School.

Free Throw contest planned

The Dalles area Knights of Columbus of Council 1598 will host their annual free throw contest at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, at the St. Mary’s Academy gym.

Adult hoops offering signups

The Gorge Adult Hoops League is looking for players and teams for the upcoming spring season.

The next season of hoops action starts on Sunday, March 17.

Get on board for Babe Ruth

The Dalles Babe Ruth baseball is holding its annual signups for local kids from the ages of 12-15 starting from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at TDMS in the Commons.

From 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31 will be the second signup date for baseball players.

Cost is $90 for the first child and $75 for additional family members.

Cordell fundraiser set

Fort Dalles Riders Association Junior Queen Carsen Cordell is holding a fundraiser auction to help offset costs while she promotes rodeo, parades and 4H programs associated with FDRA for the year.

The auction fundraiser will be held at 6 p.m. this Saturday evening at the Riders Club.

Little League open for kids

The Dalles Little League will have signups for all local baseball players from the ages of 5-12 years for registration from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at The Dalles Middle School.

There will also be a second day planned at TDMS scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31.

Cost is $64 for the first child and $44 for each additional child.

T-Ball kids are $49.

Signups on for Heart Truth run

Signups are open for the annual 3k, 5k and 10k Heart Truth run/walk scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Kiwanis Pocket Park on Klindt Dr. in The Dalles.
