To the editor:
I want to send a special “Thank You” to the workers of The Salvation Army” for lowering prices on their items. I have noticed in the past couple of weeks the prices of clothing, knickknacks and especially books have taken a dramatic decline in price.
It is wonderful to know that on the last Saturday of each month I can go into the shop and purchase quite a bit of clothing for the small sum of $5 a bag. On the last “Bag Sale” I walked out of the shop with eight T-shirts and two pairs of jeans in my bag, for just $5.
Not only is the clothing a much better price but the books are at the perfect bargain price. Just 25 cents a book.
I am able to do just about all my shopping (except for groceries) in this shop now and actually not go broke. It gets hard for a veteran to do his shopping from thrift shop to thrift shop, trying to remember all the ridiculous prices and trying to get there on a Social Security day or a special tag sale day.
I wanted to send that special Thank You to Salvation Army and so long as you keep your “easy” to understand pricing and your great deals on books, myself, my family, and my friends will shop with you.
