June 29; 4:20 p.m. – An unoccupied vehicle rolled into another vehicle in a parking lot in the 3600 block of West Sixth Street.

July 1, 11:21 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury accident, 1200 block of West 6th Street. Anna Stearns, 82, 1000 Dry Hollow Rd. was the involved driver. Stearns backed into a parked car in the lot and was cited for driving while suspended.

July 1, 5:04 p.m. – Two vehicle, injury accident, East 10th and G streets. Kim Juhnke, 51, no listed address and Yared Ruiz Piza, 27, 1305 East 10th St., were the involved drivers. Juhnke was cited for driving while suspended and failure to yield. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

June 28, 9:01 p.m. – A vehicle eastbound on Interstate 84 at milepost 86 was attempting to avoid a semi-trailer in the slow lane and lost control, turning sideways, when another car hit the rear bumper. No injuries, both cars driven from scene.

June 28, 2:15 p.m. – Crew called to a dryer fire in the 2500 block of Dry Hollow Road. Crews found hot embers in the bottom. Dryer unplugged and circuit breaker turned off. Applied a cup of water to the dryer. Appeared to be a significant amount of lint buildup in the bottom of the dryer. Dryer taken out and set in back yard.

June 28, 7:10 p.m. – Crew extinguished brush fire in vacant lot at Steele Road and Doane Road.

June 30, 4:31 p.m. – Crew extinguished grass fire on north side of Interstate 84, at milepost 82, started by a vehicle with a tire blow out. Fire burned a half to three-quarter acres.

June 30, 4:47 p.m. – Crew extinguished natural vegetation fire at 2200 Steele Road. Fire was slow-moving and involved less than an acre. Fire controlled about five minutes after arrival of first units.

July 1, 10:53 a.m. – Crew responded to the 1800 block of East 14th Street on a report of a residential fire alarm. Resident advised they were cooking breakfast and the alarm was set off. The resident reset the alarm prior to arrival. No problem was found.

July 1, 5:10 p.m. – Crew extinguished a grass fire at the intersection of Steele and Threemile roads. Cause of the fire is unknown.

The department also responded to nine calls for emergency service on Friday, seven on Saturday, 10 on Sunday and five on Monday.

A woman in the 500 block of West 7th Street reported Friday morning her brother assaulted her. Police heard conflicting reports and did not arrest anyone, but will forward report to district attorney.

A man in the 1000 block of Hostetler reported Friday morning a shop door window was broken.

A woman in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street reported Friday morning a woman took two dozen donuts and a Starbucks item. Andraya Jewell Woodruff, 22, 4109 Chenowith Rd. D 12, was arrested and accused of third-degree theft.

A woman in the 3400 block of Columbia View Drive reported Friday morning her vehicle was entered and an iPod was taken.

A man in the 400 block of East 14th Street reported Friday morning money and his driver’s license were stolen from his wallet June 26.

A business in the 100 block of Lone Pine Drive reported Friday morning a vehicle drove off without paying for gas.

A woman in the 500 block of Summit Ridge Drive reported Friday afternoon her locked vehicle was entered and several items were missing.

A man in the 700 block of Hostetler Street reported Friday afternoon his cell phone was stolen while he was at a store.

Police were called to the Festival Park Friday evening on a report of a man harassing a woman. Jim Dean Looney, 25, 33 George View Dr., was arrested on charges of harassment, second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and interfering with a peace officer.

A woman in the 2000 block of West Seventh Street reported Friday evening her driver’s license and Social Security card were stolen from her locked vehicle.

A woman was in the emergency room early Saturday morning saying she was at a friend’s house on Hostetle Street, playing with their son and was bit by their rottweiler in the left buttock. Report taken.

A woman in the 600 block of West 14th Street reported Saturday morning her purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle the night before. It contained $300 cash, credit and debit cards.

A woman in the 1700 block of East 10th Street reported Saturday morning her vehicle was stolen sometime overnight.

A woman in the 1000 block of Federal Street reported Saturday afternoon a man was taking cans and bottles from her front porch. A man matching the description the woman gave was stopped by police. He was very agitated. He was warned about trespassing and he left the area.

Angel Ralph Miramontes, 32, Ontario, was arrested Saturday afternoon along Mill Creek, and is accused of third-degree theft and first-degree failure to appear.

An anonymous caller reported early Sunday morning seeing flashes of light on the third flood of the old Elks Lodge at third and Court. It was a man giving ghost tours of the building, and he’d called dispatchers earlier in the day to tell them he’d be at the building.

A man in the 200 block of West Second Street said two younger men walked into the lobby of his establishment early Saturday morning, yelled a racial comment and kicked and broke a glass door.

A man in the 900 block of Cherry Heights Road reported Sunday morning his pickup was stolen the night before, and plates to another vehicle inside the pickup were also stolen.

William Paul Mims, 23, 222 W. 8th St., was arrested Sunday morning and is accused of violating a restraining order.

A man out for a walk early Monday morning reported numerous mailboxes open and mail strewn about. Mail was found on 12th 13th and 14th between Thompson and Quinton, and on Quinton from 12th south.

Evelyn Ann Ancheta, 28, 24 Celilo Village No. 1, was arrested Sunday evening at Celilo Village in-lieu site and is accused of probation violation.

David Alex Johnson, 20, 3521 West 7th St., was arrested Monday morning in the 300 block of West 6th Street on a Hood River county warrant for first-degree failure to appear. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines and second-degree criminal mischief.

A third-degree criminal mischief report was taken Monday morning from the 2000 block of East 13th Street.

A second-degree burglary report was taken Monday morning from the 1500 block of View Court after a victim reported some meat was taken from his freezer.

Walter Frederick Sexton, 39, no listed address, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 600 block of Cherry Heights Road on a Clackamas County warrant for second-degree failure to appear. He is also accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Kyle Brian Long, 25, 2700 West 7th St., was arrested Monday afternoon in the community corrections office on a circuit court detainer for two counts of probation violation.

A found bicycle report was taken Monday evening from the 500 block of Union Street; the bike was placed in impound.

A theft report was taken Monday evening from the 1600 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported some prescription medication was stolen.

Miguel Jose Breaux, 22, 1513 East 12th St., was detained early Tuesday morning in the 1200 block of Eric Court on a civil detox.

Wasco County

A case number was taken Friday afternoon for a sex crime.

A woman at Clear Lake Campground reported Friday afternoon her purse was stolen from her tent. It had cash, credit cards, driver’s license and keys in it.

A woman at Bear Springs Campground reported Friday evening a Dutch oven, axe, lantern, battery and chair stolen from camp site.

Dylan Jay Williams, 21, 904 E. 19th St., was arrested early Saturday at 10th and Federal and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

An unattended death report was taken Saturday morning from the 57000 block of Leonard Avenue.

A woman called deputies Saturday evening to say her ex-boyfriend took her car keys and wouldn’t give them back. He told deputies he lost the keys somewhere along the Deschutes River. Derrick Justin Franks, 32, Portland, was arrested and is accused of second-degree theft.

Dale Alan Hirst, 53, general delivery, The Dalles, was arrested early Sunday morning by the natatorium on a Douglas County warrant for failure to appear.

A pastor from Camp Morrow called deputies early Sunday morning to say a man who joined a group already camping at Camp Morrow had barricaded himself in his tent and was yelling and speaking in tongues. This scared his son, who went to get the pastor. Gregory Raymond Clayton, 52, 640 Sunridge Ave., Dallesport, was arrested for first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree disorderly conduct and his son was taken into custody by DHS.

A man on Highway 197 and Bakeoven Road reported Sunday afternoon his four-wheeler was taken sometime since Friday.

The same suspect who earlier damaged a coin shower box in Maupin was reported to have again broken into the box on Sunday evening. The box had just been emptied so no money was missing.

A woman at the Oasis Campground reported her sleeping cot and camp stove were taken Sunday evening.

A man in the 3800 block of West 10th Street reported early Monday he returned home and discovered his narcotic pain pills were missing.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft reports were taken Monday morning from the 3600 block of Fifteenmile Road after a victim reported a gun was taken from his vehicle.

A second-degree theft report was taken Monday evening from the 4100 block of Chenowith Road after a father reported his son’s bicycle was stolen.

Oregon State Police

A report was made early Friday morning of a man urinating in public near the police department, and then he started taking his clothes off. He was cited and released by city police.

A traffic stop at Interstate 84 and The Dalles bridge revealed the passenger had an open container of alcohol and was on probation prohibiting alcohol. He was also prohibited from having contact with the vehicle’s driver. Both driver and passenger were cited for several violations and released. Information forwarded to parole and probation office.

Juan Berto Presiado, 63, 2210 E. 13th St., was arrested Saturday evening on Interstate 84 near milepost 83 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Keale Marc Wiseman, 20, general delivery, was arrested early Sunday morning at intersection of Highway 197 and Bret Clodfelter Way, and is accused of unlawful possession of heroin, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful delivery of marijuana.

Michael Lee Powell, 29, 413 ½ W. 7th St., was arrested Sunday evening at Fifteenmile Creek on Interstate 84 and is accused of probation violation.

Sherman County

Taylor Jaron Antelope, 22, Toppenish, Wash., was arrested on Highway 97 on Saturday afternoon and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Kathleen Anita Baker, 27, Goldendale, was arrested Friday afternoon at the Sherman County Courthouse on a warrant for menacing, recklessly endangering, third-degree assault, three counts of first-degree criminal mistreatment, strangulation and tampering with a witness.

Daniel John Williams, 20, Redding, Calif., was arrested on Highway 97 at milepost 22 and is accused of unlawful delivery of marijuana, unlawful possession of fireworks, unlawful delivery of ecstasy, unlawful possession of ecstasy, unlawful possession of psilocybin, unlawful possession of hashish, and unlawful possession of cocaine.

Regional Jail

Scott Errol Simmons, 46, 250 Lone Pine No. 8, was remanded to the regional jail on a court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Armesha Emily Mackey Jackson, 34, 3415 Columbia View Dr., was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for resisting arrest and harassment.

Joseph Leland Miller, 47, Spokane, was jailed Monday after turning himself in on a Sherman County warrant for unlawful possession of methamphetamines.
