Historian Linda Wilson will present a program about the life longtime Wasco County resident and rodeo pioneer Blanche McGaughey Sammis on Saturday, July 13, at 2 p.m. at the main The Dalles-Wasco County Library.

The program will include stories from the 1912-1915 roundups, competitions and wild West shows, photos, videos and music. Sammis was a lady bronc rider, bulldogger and steer roper who opened the door for women in the sport of rodeo today.
