Monday – The Dalles City Council, 5:30 p.m., City Hall Council Chambers, 313 Court. Agenda: certificate of recognition to Doug Leash, audience participation, reports (city manager, city attorney, city council), public hearing on proposed ballot measure to increase the fuel tax or county service district property tax, approval of QLife broadband strategic plan, Resolution 13-024 accepting dedication of property from Elk Horn Development, LLC, for public street purposes, Resolution 13-023 adopting a fraud policy, discussion regarding fluoridation of the city’s drinking water supply.

Wasco County

Monday – Wasco County Commission on Children and Families, 5:30 p.m., Columbia Gorge Community College Lecture Room, Building 2, Floor 3, 400 E. Scenic Dr., The Dalles. Agenda: Celebration.

Thursday – Veterans Services Advisory Committee, 3-5 p.m., Wasco County Courthouse, Deschutes Room (B08), basement, 511 Washington St., The Dalles. Agenda: welcome of public, status of Klickitat County Veterans’ Services, clinic sign installation, first responder update, long-range planning for funding, VSO reports.


Wednesday – Dufur Recreation District Board Meeting, 7 p.m., Dufur City Hall. Agenda: elect board chairman, swear in new board member.


Thursday – Mosier Fire District, 7 p.m., Mosier Fire Hall. Agenda: year-end financials, update on district accreditation process, chief’s summary.


Tuesday – North Wasco County School District, 7 p.m., Wahtonka Campus Library, 3601 W. 10th, The Dalles. Agenda: swear in newly elected board members, election of officers, TDW band parents fundraising, superintendent’s report, attorney’s report, appoint new board representative to D21 Education Foundation, approve cost of living adjustment for non-represented staff.

Tuesday – Columbia Gorge Community College Board, 6 p.m., board room (Room 1.162), The Dalles Campus. Agenda: swear in board members, and election of officers, recognition of outgoing board chair, accreditation update, capital report, foundation board report, financial report, college seal, library surplus, early learning hub resolution, selection of OCCA representative and alternate, board calendar, consent calendar.

Wednesday – South Wasco County School District 1, 5:30 p.m., 2013-14 planning session; 6 p.m., regular board meeting, both in high school modular. Agenda: Administer oath of office to board members, recognition and presentations – county roads, executive session to discuss personnel and records exempt from public inspection.


Monday – Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue board and staff training, 7 p.m., Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue Station 1, 1400 W. Eighth, The Dalles. Agenda: Board Training 101, with George Dunkel of the Special Districts Association of Oregon.


Tuesday – Chenowith Water PUD board, 6:30 p.m., PUD offices. Agenda: public comment, financial statements, engineer report, manager-assistant manager reports, adoption of 2013-14 budget, discussion of purchasing limits policy.
