Exchange hosts wanted for AFS

AFS Intercultural Programs is looking for host families for high school exchange students coming from more than 90 countries in August and September.

Each year, AFS Intercultural Programs welcomes more than 2,300 international high school students to the US. These are outstanding young people who were selected in their home countries to study in US high schools and are eager to experience what it's like to live in America.

Local AFS volunteers support host families and their hosted students throughought the experience to help assure the most from their time together.

Host families provide the bed, meals and level of comfort and care they would provide to their own family members. AFS welcomes all kinds of families.

Start the process at, or call 1-800-AFS-INFO or email for more information. The local AFS chapter coordinator is Rymmel Lovell, who can be contacted at 541-296-6546 or
