The Dalles To the editor:
Last week, the state of Texas announced that they had just executed their 500th inmate, whereas the state of Oregon reports that they are holding 30-some prisoners on the so-called “death row.” What is the annual cost?
I am sort of impressed with Cuba’s attitude: “take a life and give yours.”
The television reports “justice is served” — I am not certain what they are referring to.
Again, this last week, we had a large amount of words about “justice” about a presidential reference to “racism,” etc. That is the way civil war starts.
Are the Oregon prisoners still enjoying big meals each day?
