Covenant Christian

Bill Perkins, an internationally known author and speaker on men’s ministries, will be conducting a conference titled “Six battles Every Man Must Win,” at Covenant Christian Community Church in The Dalles June 21 and 22.

Perkins is a former pastor who has done conferences all over the nation .

Registration for the conference begins Friday, June 21, at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6., followed by the first session at 7. Saturday’s events begin with breakfast at 7:30 a.m., followed by morning sessions from 8:30 through 12:30 p.m.

Registration is $20 and includes both meals. Perkins’ books and resources will be available for sale at the conference.

The Dalles Aglow Lighthouse

The Dalles Aglow Lighthouse will have its monthly meeting Monday, June 17, 6:45 p.m., at Harvest Foursquare Church in The Dalles. This month’s speaker is Quincy Whitfield. Whitfield’s testimony is one of rebounding from hard and negative circumstances and finding Christ in the process. He now lives in Portland and runs several businesses.

Harvest Foursquare is located at 2500 Old Dufur Road in The Dalles. Coffee and fellowship begins at 6:15. Bring a snack to share if you can. Contact Wendy Wham for more information at 541-340-0026.

Gateway Presbyterian

This Sunday, Interim Pastor Rich Zimmerman will share the message at the 8:30 a.m. traditional service and 11 a.m. contemporary service. On Sunday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. there will be adult, youth and children’s classes. A summer salad potluck is set for Friday, June 21, at 6 p.m. at Gateway and everyone is welcome.

Wednesday programs are: 6 p.m. youth group, women’s Bible study and men’s Bible study.

Dufur Christian Church

Vacation Bible School at Dufur Christian Church, for ages pre-school through fifth grade, is set to run from Thursday, June 20 to Saturday, June 22, from 9 a.m. to noon. A kick-off party takes place Wednesday, June 19 at Dufur Park from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It will conclude with a party and movie on Saturday, June 22 at Dufur Park from 7 p.m. The movie starts at dusk.
