Accidents

The Dalles

June 17, 8:20 a.m. – Two vehicle, injury crash, 2400 block of West 6th Street. Earl Mannen, 67, 822 Home Ct. and Michael Welfle, 63, 1211 Snipes St. were the involved drivers. Welfle was cited for driving uninsured and following too close. Welfle was injured but declined medical services. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

June 16, 6:40 p.m. – Single vehicle versus wildlife, injury crash, Highway 97, milepost 1. John M. Schilling, 67, Great Falls, Mont., was the involved driver. Schilling was driving his motorcycle and struck a deer. He was transported to the regional jail for injuries sustained in the crash; the deceased deer was moved from the road.

Rescue

June 16, 5:51 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 4300 block of Chenowith Road on a report of a burn complaint. Caller advised a labor camp had a huge fire going and thought it was going to spread. Upon arrival a small cooking fire was located, no problem was found.

Personnel responded to eight calls for emergency medical services on Friday, seven on Saturday, nine on Sunday and seven on Monday.

The Dalles City

An animal abandonment report was taken Friday morning from the 200 block of River Road after staff caught a male suspect leaving two cats in the area. The incident is under investigation.

Steven A. Lanik, 30, no listed address, was arrested Friday afternoon in the 500 block of Cherry Heights Road on a Lincoln County warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Sharon Marie Gowdy, 51, 519 East 12th St., was arrested Friday evening in her home and is accused of probation violation, second-degree burglary, and providing false information to a police officer.

Police responded to the 1700 block of West 10th Street early Saturday morning on a report of a fight. Contact was made with the victim who was not cooperative and did not wish to speak to officers. Victim was visibly beat up and had a broken nose. He was transported to the hospital by medics.

A theft report was taken Saturday morning from the 300 block of Highway 197 after a victim reported some items were taken from his luggage.

Police responded to the 3000 block of West 10th Street Saturday afternoon on a report of an assault. Victim reported he was assaulted by another male subject but did not wish to pursue charges.

A criminal mischief report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 600 block of Wasco Drive after a victim reported he was driving in the area and someone shot his window out. Investigation discovered that a subject doing yard work in the area may have accidently broken the window with his lawn equipment. The two agreed to handle the incident civilly.

A theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 3300 block of Columbia View Drive after a resident reported someone took medication from their room.

A report was taken Saturday evening from the 500 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported her ex-husband has been calling her, violating a court order.

Police responded to the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Saturday evening on a report of a shoplifter. Staff advised two intoxicated juveniles came into the store and stole some items. A report was taken for theft and the incident is under investigation.

Eric Anthony Frasier, 34, 3455 Browns Creek Rd., was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop at West 7th and Chenowith Loop streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A theft report was taken Sunday morning from the 2100 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported he left his cell phone in a bathroom and it was gone when he attempted to retrieve it.

A runaway report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 600 block of East Scenic Drive.

Gabriel James Gonzalez, 30, no listed address, was arrested Sunday evening at West 2nd and Pentland streets on a Multnomah County warrant for failure to appear.

A harassment report was taken Sunday evening from the 1000 block of Pomona Street after a victim reported being hit by another female a few days prior to reporting. The incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Sunday evening from the 2700 block of West 7th Street after a mother reported her daughter left her purse at a business and it was missing. The purse was later returned by someone that found it and nothing was missing from inside.

Justine Nunabah Begay, 23, Celilo Village No. 1, was arrested Sunday evening in the 3300 block of West 6th Street on a Umatilla County warrant for failure to appear.

A second-degree burglary report was taken Monday morning from the 1300 block of West 6th Street after an employee advised someone broke into the store and took some money.

A missing persons report was taken Monday morning from the 1000 block of Pomona Street.

A burglary report was taken Monday afternoon from the 1700 block of East 17th Street.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday afternoon from the 3600 block of West 10th Street after an employee advised a company car was keyed over the weekend.

A theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the 1300 block of West 6th Street after employees attempted to apprehend a shoplifter but the suspect fled the scene; the incident is under investigation.

A theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the 1300 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported a female suspect fled with her purse.

Andraya Jewell Woodruff, 22, 4109 Chenowith Rd Unit D12, was arrested Monday afternoon in the 1300 block of West 6th Street and is accused of second-degree theft.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday afternoon from the 1000 block of Pomona Street after a victim reported their tires were slashed.

Jaime Lynn Mulvaney, 24, 806 Union St., was arrested Monday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 84 and is accused of probation violation and unlawful possession of methamphetamines. Jaime Marree Armour, 36, 1726 East 10th St., was also arrested and is accused of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Amie Ruth Taylor, 37, 108 East 7th St., was arrested early Tuesday morning in the 2500 block of West 7th Street and is accused of second-degree burglary.

Wasco County

A burglary report was taken Friday morning from the 2500 block of Fax Road after a property owner advised his game camera caught two females breaking into a shed.

A theft report was taken Friday morning from Maupin after an employee advised some money was taken from within the business overnight.

A hazard tow report was taken Friday afternoon from Mt. Hood and Skyline streets after a vehicle was towed from the area.

Cory James Widner, 21, 2225 Mosier Creek Road, was arrested Friday evening in Mosier during a traffic stop on a Hood River municipal warrant for contempt of court and two circuit court warrants for failure to appear. He is also accused of driving while suspended.

A dog bite report was taken Saturday morning from the 3800 block of West 10th Street after a deputy was bit by a dog during investigation of a domestic disturbance.

Bryon Leory Arrington, 51, Parkdale, was arrested Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop on the 48 Road near Rock Creek reservoir and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Saturday evening in Maupin.

Edgar Raul Aguilera Quinonez, 20, 921 Snipes St., was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 86 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants. He was also arrested on a circuit court warrant for failure to appear.

Deputy responded to the 3800 block of West 10th Street Sunday morning after a mother reported a male subject was sending nude photo of himself to her juvenile daughter. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday afternoon from Maupin.

A runaway report was taken Monday morning from the 3800 block of West 10th Street. The juvenile returned home later in the afternoon and was removed from the system.

A hit and run report was taken Monday afternoon from Taylor Lake.

Oregon State Police

Trooper responded to the regional jail Friday morning after an inmate reported being raped prior to her arrest. The victim did not want to cooperate.

Trooper responded to the 3000 block of East 10th Street Friday afternoon after a property owner advised some marijuana plants were growing on his property. The plants were seized.

John John Chao, 26, Mosier, was arrested in his home early Sunday morning and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Sherman County

Richard Gonzales, 21, Mabton, Wash., was arrested during a traffic stop Monday evening on Highway 97 near milepost 9 and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful delivery of marijuana and unlawful possession of hashish. Ruben Angel Felipe Trujillo, 35, Portland, was also arrested and is accused of unlawful possession of marijuana, unlawful delivery of marijuana and unlawful possession of hashish.

Regional Jail

Daniel Allen Peterson, 53, Goldendale, was jailed Friday on a Gilliam County court commitment for probation violation.

Parole and Probation

Kenneth William Holbrook, 27, 4910 Lockwood, was arrested Friday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of parole violation.
