TDCC golfers get top honors in Skamania

Shelley Reynolds-Wacker notched first place as an individual and she was a major cog in a top quartet that cruised to first place in the net category during golf action at Skamania Lodge Golf Course on Monday.

Reynolds-Wacker, Amy McCormack, Karen Springer and Glenda King represented The Dalles Country Club and combined forces for a 114 for first place by three strokes over 11 teams, including one group from Skamania Lodge, which made it to second place with a 117.

Finishing in a tie for third place was Green Mountain Golf Course (120) and Vanco Range (120).

While facing some solid golf experts in the amateur net classification, Reynolds-Wacker carded a 61 for top recognition, beating Green Mountain Golf Course’s Delta Ellison (66) by five shots.

Jean Puddefoot, of Skamania, and Susy Wagner (Tualatin Country Club), wound up deadlocked with identical scores of 67.

Springer, ended up in 12th place in the gross and net skins division with a net 2 tally.

Marie Pilot, from Green Mountain, scored first in the standings.
