Fire

Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue

March 7, 5:46 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 2600 block of West 6th Street on a report of a dumpster fire. Light smoke was showing behind the store. Contact was made with an employee who advised they put the fire out with an extinguisher. The fire damaged some pallets but no structure damage observed. The cause of the fire is unknown but may have been caused by a cigarette butt.

Personnel also responded to eight calls for emergency medical services.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 500 block of Lone Pine Drive Thursday morning on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Caller advised a vehicle had been parked in the lot the last two nights with a subject sleeping inside. Contact was made with the subject who was warned about trespassing.

Police responded to the 3000 block of Old Dufur Road Thursday morning on a report of a vehicle prowl. Victim advised someone entered his vehicle overnight but nothing appeared to be missing; the information is logged.

A restraining order violation report was taken Thursday morning from the 1400 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported a female suspect violated a no contact order; incident is under investigation.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Thursday morning from the 1600 block of East 11th Street after a victim reported his vehicle was rummaged through overnight but nothing appeared to be missing.

Travis Monroe Dodson, 30, 2022 West 8th St., was arrested Thursday afternoon in the 2000 block of West 8th Street and is accused of two counts of probation violation.

Police responded to West 11th and Liberty streets Thursday afternoon on a report of a fight. Caller reported a large group of kids were observing two juvenile males fighting. Contact was made with a group of kids in the area who advised they were not involved in the fight and the subjects that were fled prior to arrival.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 300 block of West 13th Street after a victim reported someone entered their vehicle overnight and stole some items.

Police responded to the 600 block of Wasco Drive Thursday afternoon after a victim reported he came home to find his backdoor open. Officer did a walk through of the house and found no suspect. Nothing appeared to be missing, incident was logged.

Police responded to West 3rd and Liberty streets Thursday evening on a report of a subject unconscious in a vehicle. An off duty officer and paramedic attempted CPR on the subject who died on the way to the hospital.

Police responded to the 500 block of West 8th Street Thursday evening on a report of suspicious subjects. Caller said she observed two juveniles come from behind a neighbor’s fence. Contact was made with one subject matching the description; he advised he was just skating through the area. There was no damage around the neighbor’s home.

Police contacted a suspicious male subject early Friday morning in the 900 block of Pomona Street during patrol Subject was acting erratically in an alley in the area; he stated he was chasing raccoons, he was asked to move along.

Wasco County

Lindsay Anne Cole, 36, 959 Irvine St., was arrested Thursday morning in her home on a Washington County warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Wanda Jane Bryan, 50, 3817 West 10th St. No. 2, was arrested Friday evening in the 2800 block of West 10th Street and is accused of unlawful delivery of methamphetamines, unlawful possession of methamphetamines, possession of a controlled substance, and a circuit court warrant for probation violation.

A runaway report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 4100 block of Chenowith Road.

Oregon State Police

A female driver was cited and released for driving while suspended early Friday morning on Highway 197 at milepost three; the vehicle was impounded.

Sherman County

James Jeffery Nelson, 55, Condon, was arrested Thursday evening during a traffic stop on Gordon Ridge Road and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.
