Accidents

The Dalles City

March 9, 11:23 a.m. – Three vehicle, non-injury crash, 500 block of West 9th Street. Steve Burnett, 56, Wasco and Josh Gustafson, 38, 5250 McDonald Way were the involved drivers. Burnett and Gustafson were involved in a minor crash; the third vehicle struck was a unoccupied parked vehicle. A report was taken but no citations were issued.

March 11, 9:55 a.m. – Two vehicle, minor injury crash, Highway 197 at milepost 1. Chris Waters, 36, 3215 Knob Hill Rd. and Dhillon Harpal Singh, 42, Yuba City, Calif. were the involved drivers. No citations were issued and no one was transported from the scene of the accident. A report was taken.

Oregon State Police

March 11, no listed time – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 81. Jorge Vega-Garcia, 52, Vancouver was the involved driver. Garcia was traveling in the fast lane when he turned abruptly and crossed both lanes of travel hitting a concrete median. A report was taken.

Rescue

March 8, 1:36 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 900 block of Irvine Street on a report of a burn complaint. Contact was made with a resident who was burning without a permit. They were warned of the burning regulations and extinguished the fire themselves.

March 8, 4:12 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 eastbound, in the area of mile marker 88 after a caller reported smoke in the area. Crews arrived to find railroad workers laying new gravel, causing a significant amount of dust in the area. No fire was found.

March 10, 6:45 p.m. - Personnel responded to the 2400 block of Mountain View Drive on a report of a house fire. While personnel were en-route the homeowner called and advised the units could stand down as the fire was put out. Crews responded to assess the scene. Contact was made with the homeowner who stated his son was re-roofing the roof and was using a propane torch to warm up the materials. An hour after the son finished a neighbor called him saying his roof was smoking. Some of the materials were smoldering on the roof but no extensive damage was done.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical services on Friday, four on Saturday, five on Sunday and eight on Monday.

The Dalles City

A second-degree burglary report was taken Friday morning from the 300 block of Lincoln Street after an employee advised the business was broken into overnight and items were missing.

Tammy Gay McClain, 48, no listed address, was arrested Friday morning in municipal court and is accused of interference with a police officer.

Jenny Marie Blake, 36, 422½ West 14th Street, was arrested Friday morning in municipal court and is accused of violation of a release agreement.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Friday morning from the 2600 block of East 18th Street after a victim reported his vehicle was gone through overnight.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Friday morning from the 800 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported several of their vehicles were gone through overnight.

Police responded to the 600 block of East 10th Street Friday afternoon on a report of a juvenile subject smoking marijuana in the alley. Police searched the area but no subject was found.

Sandra Sindy Campos, 32, 322 West 6th St., was arrested Friday afternoon in her home on a municipal court warrant for contempt of court.

Police responded to the 400 block of East 7th Street Friday afternoon on a report of a welfare check. Caller reported a client was having some mental issues and he may need assistance getting the subject help. Contact was made with the caller and the subject; who was not violent. He was voluntarily taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Police responded to East 3rd and Jefferson streets Friday evening on a report of a juvenile problem. Caller advised kids were throwing garbage all over the old vacant car lot. Contact was made with the subjects who were throwing popcorn around; they were warned of their conduct and asked to move along.

Police responded to the 400 block of West 7th Street Friday evening on a report of a male subject screaming. Contact was made with a male and female who were having a dispute over a receipt; both were warned of their conduct.

Police responded to East 10th and F streets Friday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Caller reported two subjects were arguing at the corner of the listed streets. Police searched the area but no subjects were found.

Police responded to the 1400 block of East 9th Street Friday evening on a report of a possible burglary. Caller reported seeing lights on at the home of their absent neighbors home. Police checked the home and everything appeared to be secure, a note was left for the owners to call police when they returned.

Police responded to the 200 block of East 5th Street Friday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the involved subjects who advised the argument was verbal and there were no signs of any injuries on either party; they were warned of their conduct.

Aimee Elizabeth Gray, 42, 205 West 15th St., was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop on Highway 197, milepost 1 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and hit and run.

Police responded to the 900 block of Federal Street early Saturday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Victim stated her husband smacked her in the back of the head during an argument. Contacted was made with the victim who stated her husband was intoxicated and passed out on the couch when she and her daughters put makeup on him as a joke. When he awoke he was very angry and hit her. She declined to pursue charges; the suspect left prior to officer arrival.

Police responded to the 2700 block of East 12th Street Saturday morning on a report of a vehicle prowl. Victim advised his vehicle was gone through overnight but nothing important was taken, the incident was logged.

Terrance Garrett McDonald, 53, Celilo Village No. 6, was arrested Saturday morning in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of third-degree theft.

A theft report was taken Saturday morning from the 700 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported some items were missing from his unlocked shed.

A first-degree burglary report was taken Saturday morning from the 800 block of Floral Court after a victim reported someone entered their home overnight while sleeping and took several items from within.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Saturday morning from the 1100 block of Cherry Heights Road after a caller reported his girlfriend’s vehicle was broken into and had some items taken from within.

A counterfeit currency report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 2900 block of East 2nd Street after a business owner advised the bank alerted him of counterfeit currency in his deposit; the incident is under investigation.

Chance Widner, 23, Mosier, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of Ash Street on a Hood River municipal court warrant for failure to pay fines.

Lucas Henry Weiss, 24, 527 West 3rd Place, was arrested Saturday afternoon on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

Police responded to the 400 block of East 13th Street Saturday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the female who advised she and the male were involved in an argument and the male did break some items inside the home. No signs of injury were visible on the female half and the male left prior to officer arrival; the incident was logged.

An assault report was taken Saturday evening from the 3500 block of East 2nd Street after a victim reported a subject attempted to run him over; the incident is under investigation.

Travis Michael Collins, 22, no listed address, was arrested Saturday evening in the 2700 block of West 7th Street on two circuit court warrants for contempt of court, a municipal court warrant for probation violation. He is also accused of violation of a release agreement, contempt of court, and violation of a restraining order.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Saturday evening from the 200 block of West 12th Street after a victim reported their vehicle was gone through and had some items missing.

Police responded to the 900 block of Washington Street Saturday evening on a report of an intoxicated juvenile. The father called police to advise the daughter fled when he attempted to pick her up. She was found and taken to the hospital for over intoxication. She was arrested and lodged at the juvenile detention facility after she was released from medical staff.

A burglary report was taken Saturday evening from the 600 block of Sherman Drive after a victim reported she returned home to find her back sliding glass door broken. The residence was searched and nothing appeared to be out of place; incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 500 block of East 11th Street early Sunday morning on a report of loud music. Contact was made with the homeowners who were playing their music loudly, they complied and turned it down.

Bradley Lee Lawrence, 48, Klamath Falls, was arrested early Sunday morning during a traffic stop on West 2nd and Cherry Heights and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Police responded to the 300 block of West 6th Street Sunday morning on a report of a trespassing subject. Victim called to report a male subject was standing outside her door and refusing to leave. Contact was made with the victim who stated she told the subject to leave then after she got out of the shower he was still outside the door. Contact was made with the suspect who was advised he was trespassed from the complex.

Police responded to the 2700 block of West 6th Street Sunday morning on a report of a found bicycle. Officer picked up the bike and placed it in impound; a report was taken.

Lucidia Ann Duran, 26, Grandview, Wash., was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop in the 3200 block of Brett Clodfelter Way and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants. Bleu Jaye Kenoras, 36, Wapato, Wash., was also arrested on two circuit court warrants for failure to appear.

A hit and run report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 800 block of East 11th Street after a victim reported their vehicle was struck overnight.

A criminal mischief report was taken Sunday afternoon from the 400 block of West 2nd Place after a victim reported a vehicle window had been broken.

Jacob Kenneth Bailey, 23, 821 East 11th St. No. 2, was arrested Sunday afternoon in his home on two circuit court warrants for failure to appear.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Sunday evening from the 1600 block of I Street after a victim reported their vehicle was gone through and had some items missing.

Police responded to the 1200 block of West 2nd Street Sunday evening on a report of a disturbance. Caller advised there was a male subject in the restaurant causing a disturbance by being loud and obnoxious and dumping sugar on tables. Contact was made with the suspect who was trespassed from the business for the remainder of the night.

A second-degree burglary report was taken Sunday evening after police were toned out to a business on a report of an alarm activation.

Police responded to West 7th and Home streets Sunday evening on a report of a dispute. Caller reported two males yelling at one another. Contact was made with both subjects who were warned of their conduct and advised to stay away from one another for the remainder of the evening.

Francisco Javier Lua Rodriguez, 33, 1623 East 13th St., was arrested Sunday evening in the 300 block of West 6th Street on a Hood River municipal court warrant for failure to pay fines.

Virgil Dewey Knight, 59, 3117 West 7th St., was arrested Sunday evening in his home and is accused of second-degree criminal trespass.

Police contacted several subjects in the area of East 10th and Clark streets early Monday morning, one of which was a juvenile. She was cited for curfew violation and released to her mother.

Police responded to the 200 block of East 2nd Street early Monday morning on a report of a fight in a parking lot. Officer drove through the area and observed no disturbance.

Police responded to the 500 block of East Knoll Drive early Monday morning on a report of a prowler. Caller advised he observed a subject going onto a neighbor’s property and heard some noises which sounded like someone was trying to break into something. The area was checked but no subjects were found.

Timothy James Coughlin, 63, no listed address, was arrested early Monday morning in the 1100 block of West 6th Street and is accused of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and third-degree theft.

A burglary report was taken Monday morning from the 2700 block of West 2nd Street after a business owner reported someone had tried to force opne some doors into his business but it appears no entry was actually made.

Larry Gene Sprecher, 63, 2433 Badger View Dr., was arrested Monday afternoon during a traffic stop on River and Klindt streets and on a Washington County warrant for probation violation.

Police responded to East 13th and Federal streets Monday afternoon on a report of suspicious activity after a caller advised observing two male subjects going in and out of neighbor’s yards. Contact was made with the subjects who were collecting cans. They were advised to stay out of people’s yards.

Police responded to the 1300 block of West 2nd Street Monday evening on a report of a welfare check. Caller advised speaking to a friend who may be suicidal. Contact was made with the subject who advised he was depressed over a recent separation but he did not want to harm himself.

Police responded to the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Monday evening after receiving a report of a female shoplifter who stole a box of donuts. Brittany Ann Lenke, 24, Klickitat, was arrested and is accused of third-degree theft.

A burglary report was taken Monday evening from the 2300 block of East 13th Street after a victim reported someone entered their home through a window while they were away. The incident is under investigation.

Police stopped a suspicious subject carrying a large speaker Monday evening on West 7th and Snipes streets; he was cited and released for minor in possession of alcohol.

During patrol early Tuesday morning police noticed a vehicle that had been struck parked in the 400 block of West 6th Street. Attempts to contact the registered owner were made but they were not able to get in contact with them. The area was searched to see if a suspect vehicle could be located but no vehicle was found; the information was logged.

Police responded to the 1400 block of East 14th Street early Tuesday morning on a report of a vehicle prowler. Caller advised he observed two juvenile males prowling vehicles in the area. When the suspects saw the caller they fled on foot. One was caught and admitted that he was prowling vehicles with a friend. He was cited for three counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, two counts of second-degree theft, ten counts of third-degree theft and minor in possession of alcohol and tobacco. He was released to his father. A report was taken and is under investigation.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to the 3600 block of West 13th Street Friday evening after a caller reported hearing three loud booms. Deputy checked the area and stayed in the area for several minutes hearing nothing out of the ordinary; no problem found.

Deputy responded to the 4800 block of Orchard Road Friday evening on a report of s suspicious vehicle. Caller reported a vehicle came down their dead end street and when the caller’s husband confronted the subjects they made up a story about looking for a party then fled the area. Deputy searched the area for the vehicle but was not found.

An agency assist report was taken early Saturday morning after a deputy located a vehicle that was being searched for by city police in connection with a hit and run.

Deputy responded to the Chenowith Table Saturday afternoon on a report of a trespassing group of hikers. Deputy attempted to locate the group but was unable to locate them.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 3000 block of Cherry Heights Road after a victim reported their vehicle was broken into overnight.

A deputy came across a suspicious vehicle early Monday morning at Taylor Lake that was parked off the side of the road with the radio still on and no one near the vehicle. The vehicle was towed away and the registered owner was contacted about the vehicle. She advised she lent it to a subject to take to a bonfire. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

Rodney Gene Jones, 37, 1011 Maple St., was arrested Monday morning in his home on a circuit court warrant for failure to appear.

Deputy responded to the 3800 block of West 10th Street Monday evening on a report of a welfare check. Caller advised her elderly neighbor’s caregiver was in jail and was worried no one was looking out for him. Contact was made with the neighbor who advised he was having issues and made arrangements for someone to stay with him until another caregiver could be found.

Oregon State Police

A male driver was cited and released for no operator’s license and driving uninsured during a traffic stop Friday morning on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 77; the vehicle was impounded.

Ryan Dale Hart, 34, 710 West 10th St., was arrested Friday morning during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 69 on two Multnomah County warrants for second-degree failure to appear and is also accused of driving while suspended.

Tina Michelle Muniz Gomez, 32, 519 East 12th St., was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop on Highway 197 and Highway 30 on a municipal court warrant for second-degree failure to appear.

Tanan Aswan Cameron Nathan, 25, Warm Springs, was arrested Saturday afternoon at West 7th and Pomona streets and is accused of carrying a concealed weapon.

Scott Errol Simmons, 46, 250 Lone Pine Dr. No. 8, was arrested Saturday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 87 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Kevin Justin Bryant, 28, Umatilla, was arrested Saturday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 81 on a Marion County warrant for first-degree failure to appear.

A male driver was cited and released for driving uninsured during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 81; the vehicle was impounded.

A male driver was cited and released for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop Monday afternoon on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 78.

Trooper responded to Biggs Junction Monday evening on a report of a subject prowling semis. Two separate truckers advised a male suspect attempted to break into their semis while they were inside. Anthony Albert Boddy, 43, United Kingdom, was arrested and is accused of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle, menacing, and second-degree disorderly conduct.

Sherman County

Timothy Lee Cameron, 53, Pleasant Hill, Calif., was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 129 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Lawrence Fred Black III, 35, Moro, was arrested Monday morning in his home on three Wasco County warrants for parole violation.

Regional Jail

Owen Joseph Allbritton, 29, Bend, was jailed Friday on a Sherman County court commitment for driving while suspended.

Arnold Lee Wright, 61, Goldendale, was jailed Friday on a Sherman County court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants and hit and run.

Kathryn Mae Foss, 44, 3311 West 13th St., was jailed and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for initiating a false report.

Dakota Duke Grandstaff, 19, Dufur, was jailed and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for reckless driving.

Blain Roger Poirier, 43, Wasco, was jailed Monday on a Sherman County court commitment for second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass.
