Pirate carnival March 17 in Klickitat

The seventh annual Pirate Carnival happens this Sunday, March 17, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Klickitat School Gym.

Admission is free.

The event includes a free costume contest for all ages. Since the event occurs on St. Patrick’s Day this year, costumes can be for pirates or leprechauns.

A silent auction includes certificates to Wild Waves Park, the Spa at Water’s Edge, Seattle Mariners items and much more.

Activities include a bouncy house, cotton candy, Treasure Island and games of all kinds, including a haunted pirate’s cove.

Food will include clam chowder, nachos and rootbeer floats.

The event, sponsored by the Klickitat PTO and Klickitat High School secondary ASB, raises money to support Klickitat school students. Many businesses supported the event.
