March 14, 5:01 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 87 on a report of smoke in the area. Upon arrival no smoke was found. Investigation discovered that pollen from trees was blowing off from the wind causing a slight haze; no problem was found.

Personnel also responded to four calls for emergency medical services.

The Dalles City

An informational report was taken Thursday morning from the 3000 block of West 10th Street in regard to a possible sex crime; incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 1900 block of East 14th Street Thursday morning on a report of a suicidal subject. Contact was made with the subject, who denied having feelings of harming herself. She stated she was telling a counselor how her mother made her feel but did not wish to harm anyone.

Police responded to the 900 block of Court Street Thursday morning on a report of a vehicle prowl. Victim advised her vehicle was rummaged through overnight but nothing appeared to have been taken.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Thursday morning from the 1100 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported someone entered his vehicle overnight and took some items.

Police responded to the middle school Thursday afternoon on a report of an out of control juvenile. Contact was made with a parent and grandparent who advised they would handle the situation, no action was taken.

Riley Wayne Magill, 19, no listed address, was arrested Thursday afternoon at West 6th and Webber streets and is accused of third-degree theft.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 1100 block of East 11th Street after a victim reported someone entered her vehicle overnight and took some items.

Police responded to the 100 block of West 12th Street Thursday afternoon on a report of juvenile subjects smoking marijuana in an alley. Contact was made with four juvenile males. Two were cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and released. The parents of the juveniles not cited were informed of the activity they were around.

Samantha Jean Roettger, 24, 602 West 12th St., was arrested Thursday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.

Police responded to the 800 block of Hostetler Way Thursday evening on a report of a disturbance. The mother advised her adult son was out of control and they were in need of assistance restraining him. Contact was made with the subject who was counseled on finding other ways to control his anger.

Alana Faye Seidel, 23, Hood River, was arrested Thursday evening in the 400 block of West 13th Street and is accused of probation violation.

Police responded to the 500 block of East 9th Street Thursday evening after a caller reported three young juveniles may have been left home alone. Contact was made at the residence with the mother who advised she just got home from work but her sister was there watching the kids; no problem found.

Police responded to the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street early Friday morning on a report of shoplifters in custody. Contact was made with the two suspects, a male and female, and both were cited and released for third-degree theft. They were also trespassed from the store.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Clark Street early Friday morning on a report of a domestic disturbance. Contact was made with a husband and wife who were verbally arguing. Both were warned of their conduct.

Wasco County

Evelyn Ann Ancheta, 27, Celilo Village No. 1, was arrested Thursday afternoon and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault had a municipal court warrant out for failure to appear. Johnathan Paul Ancheta, Celilo Village No. 1, was also arrested during the incident and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault and tampering with evidence.

A first-degree burglary report was taken Thursday afternoon from the 2300 block of Dry Hollow Road.

William Lionel Leary Iv, 22, Maupin, was arrested Thursday evening in Maupin and is accused of probation violation.

Oregon State Police

A male driver was cited and released for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 104.

Sherman County

Carmen Lynn Diaz, 27, Goldendale, was arrested Thursday evening in Biggs Junction and is accused of probation violation.

Regional Jail

Dennis Randall Watkins, 42, 311 West 15th St. was jailed and released Thursday on a municipal court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants.
