March 19, 10:39 a.m. – Fire personnel called to the 4100 block of Chenowith Road on an unattended open burn. Personnel found it was attended and permitted, no problem.

The agency also responded to three calls for emergency medical service.

A woman in the 500 block of West 12th Street reported Tuesday morning her vehicle was entered overnight, but nothing was taken.

A found bike report was taken Tuesday morning from the 400 block of West 11th Street.

A report was taken Tuesday morning from the 700 block of Hostetler Street for identity theft.

A gas station in the 3200 block of Bret Clodfelter Way reported Tuesday morning a person drove off without paying for $20 in gas.

Jerry Lee Proffitt, 32, general delivery, The Dalles, was arrested in a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

A woman in the 400 block of East 8th Street called police Tuesday afternoon to say a man was making unwanted phone calls to her. Police called the man and told him not to call the woman anymore.

A man in the 400 block of West 12th Street reported Tuesday afternoon two chainsaws were stolen from his unlocked vehicle overnight.

A woman in the 500 block of West 14th Street reported Tuesday afternoon a front room storm window was broken sometime last week.

Siaasu Melei, 27, 220 W. 7th St., The Dalles, was arrested Tuesday night on two counts of probation violation.

Tyler James Burris, 20, 1114 Trevitt, was arrested Tuesday afternoon and is accused of fourth-degree assault, harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct. He is accused of assaulting another man downtown. Another downtown business called police to report a man had run into their business and used their restroom to rinse blood off his hands.

Antonio Duenas Jr., 25, 101 Dry Hollow Rd., was arrested Tuesday afternoon at Second and Federal on two counts of probation violation.

A woman called to report a generator and tools were stolen from a work truck while it was parked at the corner of Verdant and West Eighth streets Tuesday afternoon.

A man in the 900 block of Home Street reported Tuesday evening some fishing poles, a tackle box and bags of cans were stolen from his boat. A witness saw two males jumping the fence.

A woman in the 400 block of West 14th Street reported a man she kicked out of her home the day before came back and assaulted her Tuesday evening. The woman didn’t want to pursue charges.

A person at West 9th and Pentland reported Tuesday evening someone knocked their sideview mirror off their truck, causing $420 in damage.

A man in the 1600 block of East 11th Street reported Tuesday evening his 2006 Honda scooter was stolen.

A man was trespassed from a business in the 700 block of East Second Street Tuesday evening.

A man went into the restroom early Wednesday morning at the festival park and found another man naked in one of the bathroom stalls, who said he was taking a bath. Police told the bather that the restrooms were not for showering. He was asked to leave and did so.

Wasco County

Kenneth Scott Nyberg, 47, 3817 W. 10th St., 1A, The Dalles, was arrested at the hospital on a charge of fourth-degree assault.

A woman in the 2100 block of Haylift Lane reported Tuesday evening packages were stolen from her mailbox on the 14th, and the empty boxes were found at the Memaloose rest area and taken to the post office.

A woman in the 4200 block of Chenowith Road reported Wednesday morning her vehicle was prowled overnight. Nothing was taken.

Oregon State Police

A male driver was stopped on Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 84 Tuesday evening for having one headlight out. He was cited for driving uninsured and with no driver’s license and his vehicle was towed.

Regional Jail

David William Spadt, 30, 2404 W. 10th St. No. 23, was booked and released Tuesday morning on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Michael Shaun Mansfield, 35, 812 Fulton St., Wasco, was booked at the regional jail on a probation violation.
