The Dalles City

March 22, 5:34 p.m. – A two-vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of Crates Way and Columbia Road. One driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

Wasco County

March 23, 4:05 p.m. – Single-vehicle rollover accident with injury, Highway 197 and Endersby Road. One man was taken to the hospital.

March 23, 6:35 a.m. – A camper van was reported on fire in the 4700 block of Adeline Way. Fire crews prevented fire from spreading to a nearby RV, and put the fire out.

March 23, 1:14 p.m. – A 14- to 15-foot trailer was engulfed in flames in a salvage yard in the 2900 block of East Second Street. The fire traveled up a power pole, but didn’t damage the wires. The business owner said he’d been having problems with people rummaging through his vehicles and storage containers, and noticed the door to that trailer was open that morning.

March 24, 9:45 a.m. – A transformer in the alley of 12th and Federal was reported to be on fire. Reporting person saw smoke and sparks. Upon fire crew arrival, it wasn’t smoking or sparking, but wires appeared melted. Power company called.

March 25, 5:06 a.m. – A man reported a van was found fully engulfed in flames in the 700 block of Snipes Street. Cause of fire was undetermined due to extensive damage.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency service Friday, five Saturday, seven Sunday, and six Monday.

A woman in the 1500 block of East 18th Street reported Friday morning she saw a man in her van, who fled on foot.

A man in the 600 block of Sherman Drive reported Friday morning someone took change and a folding chairfrom his vehicle.

A man in the 3500 block of Royal Crest Drive reported Friday morning his vehicle was prowled the night before.

A woman in the 2100 block of Garrison reported Friday morning an unknown man had made a number of calls to her, and she got two more disturbing voice mails from him. She told police, who called the man and told him not to call again.

A woman in the 900 block of East Scenic Drive reported Friday morning the house was burglarized.

A man in the 400 block of West 16th Street reported Friday morning his unlocked vehicle was prowled, a stereo damaged and GPS taken.

A man in the 3000 block of West 7th Street reported Friday morning his two travel trailers were burgled in the last two days.

A man in the 1900 block of East 16th Place reported Friday afternoon he left his iPad at another person’s house a few weeks ago and when he tried to get it back, the man told him he’d get it when he repaid him some money he owed. Now the man is telling him he doesn’t have the iPad. Under investigation.

A woman reported Friday afternoon her father, who lives in the 300 block of Court Street, had some morphine pills stolen.

A man in the 1500 block of Court Street reported his unlocked vehicles were prowled and a portable DVD player, cologne and a gold necklace were stolen, plus two purses and a driver’s license.

A woman walking at Sorosis Park reported a man wearing a ski mask, hoodie and gloves was loitering by exercise equipment. He appeared to be working out, then stopped and was looking around. He was gone on police arrival.

Jeana Marie Green, 40, 3038 Old Dufur Rd., was arrested Friday evening near Old Dufur Road and Fremont for harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct.

A woman reported Friday evening a man keeps going to a house in the 900 block of East Eighth Street and waving a gun. He threatened a young man living there who is dating his ex-girlfriend. A rock was also thrown through the home’s window. Police contacted the suspect, who denied doing anything.

Aaron Mark Judah, 35, 1302 B East 12th St., was arrested Friday evening on a warrant for failure to appear and lodged at the jail.

A report for a car prowl was taken Friday night from the 600 block of Summit Ridge Drive.

A man in the 3500 block of Royal Crest Drive reported Saturday morning items, including a firearm, were stolen from his truck overnight. The same person previously had a rifle and binoculars stolen.

A man in the 400 block of East Ninth Street reported Saturday morning his vehicle was broken into and an iPhone charger was stolen.

Fabian Zuniga Torres, 25, 520 E. 11th St., was jailed Saturday afternoon on a municipal court warrant for failure to appear.

Dylan Lee Davis, 20, 702 Hill St., Dallesport, was arrested Saturday afternoon and is accused of first-degree theft, two counts of third-degree theft and two counts of unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.

Two men were reported fighting Saturday evening in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street. Zackery Raymond Crause, 34, 1009 E. 14th, jailed on fourth-degree assault charges

A woman reported Saturday evening her tires were slashed in a parking lot in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street.

A fight was reported Saturday night in the 300 block of Union Street. Parties were gone on police arrival.

A man reported a vehicle parked in the intersection near the 3900 block of West Sixth Street Saturday night. Tutoatasi Fauatea Moleli, 50, 2510 W. Second St., No. 10, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and being a fugitive from the INS.

Oscar Garcia, 34, 1210 E. 12th St., was arrested Sunday morning at 11th and Garrison and is accused of telephonic harassment.

A man in the 1400 block of East 10th Street reported early Sunday morning a man was standing and looking in the windows of a nearby house. The homeowner said the person was likely her son.

A woman was trespassed from a business in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street Sunday morning after she threatened to kill an employee. She was a suspended driver and was told not to drive. She did anyway and an officer quickly stopped her and cited her for driving while suspended.

A caller Sunday afternoon reported a man attempted to cause a disturbance at a church service and was later seen running into a stop sign at 10th and Cherry Heights.

A caller reported Sunday afternoon that graffiti was found in the alley behind City Hall and to the east. Police found dozens of doors, dumpsters and recycle bins in the alley between Second and Third streets from Laughlin to Lincoln were tagged.

A woman in the 300 block of West Sixth Street called police Sunday morning to report her tires were slashed the night before.

A man in the 2500 block of West Second Street reported Sunday evening his dad’s door was found open Friday afternoon and on Sunday, his dad noticed medication was missing.

A man in the 3300 block of West Seventh Street reported Sunday evening someone was throwing rocks at his house and then they threw a brick, almost hitting him. Police could not find the suspect.

A man in the 1400 block of East 10th Street reported seeing a man try to get into his shed early Monday morning. He yelled at the man, who took off running.

A man in the 1100 block of Emerson Street reported Monday afternoon a black bike was left in front of his home overnight. Bike taken to impound.

A woman in the 1700 block of East 14th Street called Monday afternoon to report a puppy was trapped under a woodpile and she was afraid to reach for it because she wasn’t familiar with the dog. An officer took the dog to Home At Last.

A man in the 3300 block of West Seventh Street reported finding bones of unknown origin when digging on his property. They appear to have been cut with a hacksaw. A sample of bones was taken; under investigation.

A burglary was reported Monday afternoon in the 1800 block of West 10th Street.

A woman in the 3100 block of West Second Street reported a vehicle prowl that occurred during the day. Missing from the unlocked vehicle were car keys, wallet, purse and electronics.

A man in the 1800 block of West Second Street reported his vehicle was broken into and items from inside the vehicle as well as parts from the engine were taken.

A caller from a care facility in the 1000 block of Webber Street reported Monday evening a resident’s developmentally-disabled daughter has threatened to bring a gun and shoot everybody because she feels her father wasn’t being properly cared for. The daughter has caused problems before, and the next time she comes in, the facility will have her trespassed.

A Portland man called Monday evening to say music equipment stolen from him in December was now listed on eBay, and is being sold from The Dalles. Police took a case number for possession of stolen property.

A man in the 1600 block of Garrison Street reported his utility trailer was taken Monday while he was at work.

A woman in the 1800 block of East 10th Street reported Monday evening her caregiver injured her when she was pulling into the driveway. She also said her bedding and pain medications have been stolen. Under investigation.

Denise Lynn Foss, 50, 2408 W. 10th St., No. 42, was arrested Monday in the 1700 block of East Ninth Street and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

A woman in the 1300 block of East 10th Street reported a man was “freaking out” on his daughter. Another caller reported hearing the daughter yelling “he is going crazy and has a gun.” Lawrence Aaron Waggoner Jr., 32, 810 E. 16th St., was jailed on domestic menacing, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

A caller reported three youths were trying to enter a building in the 2800 block of West Seventh Street Monday night. The three broke a window and attempted to break down the door. Two were found by police after a short foot pursuit. A deputy found the third youth. All three were charged with second-degree burglary, and one had a second charge of second-degree trespass. Two were charged with possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. All were cited and released to their parents.

Wasco County

A man in the 1300 block of Sterling Drive reported Friday afternoon his roommate was refusing to give him his child because of the rent he owes. Deputies found it was a civil matter over custody of a child, and no parenting plan is in place. The mother was on her way to pick up the child and the father agreed to it.

A man in the 4500 block of Highway 30 West reported Friday afternoon his vehicle had three flat tires and initials were scratched into the hood. No suspects.

Steven Allan Minor, 28, 1109 Chenowith Loop Rd., No.1, was arrested Saturday morning in the 800 block of Floral Court and is accused of criminal driving while suspended or revoked.

A man in the 7800 block of Mill Creek Road reported a house guest had been drinking and exposed his rear to his child and a female friend. Deputies arrived and helped the guest move to a motel and told him he was not to come back, except to retrieve his belongings the next day.

A woman in the 5600 block of Cherry Heights Road reported Saturday evening a man was harassing her. She stayed in her car for several hours to avoid him after a physical confrontation during which he snapped her with a towel.

A woman in the 1200 block of Third Avenue Sunday morning reported fraudulent use of her credit card.

Two people approached by a deputy Sunday afternoon in the 5500 block Old Old Dufur Road ran from him. The man was found quickly, and the woman was found hidden in a garage. Both were on probation. Their probation officers were notified.

A girl in the 3800 block of West 10th Street called 911 Sunday evening to see if her mom had called 911 on her following an argument. She was counseled on misuse of 911 and given a citation to juvenile court.

A man in the 2500 block of West 16th Street reported Monday morning his vehicle was broken into overnight. He was unsure if anything was taken, but there was damage to the steering column and ignition and both electric windows had been forced down.

A woman in the 4900 block of Lockwood Street reported Monday afternoon a stereo was stolen out of her vehicle.

A woman in the 3800 block of West 10th Street called deputies Monday afternoon to say her daughter kept opening the door of their moving vehicle. The daughter was counseled.

A caller in the 1300 block of West Second Street reported a man attacked another man while they were inside his bathroom. The attacker fled on foot.

Sherman County

Glen Eymard Thibodeau, 25, 70710 Valley View Rd., Elgin, was arrested Friday afternoon at Sherman County Circuit Court on a charge of criminal driving while suspended/revoked.

Erick Bradley Christiansen, 40, 205 Church St., Grass Valley, was jailed Sunday afternoon at his home on fourth-degree assault charges.

Jesse James Schellinger Ohs, 233, Goleta, Calif., was remanded to jail from Sherman County Circuit Court on a charge of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Jeffrey Lee Shegrud, 50, 104 E. Second St., Space 23, Rufus, was arrested at his home Monday afternoon on a Sherman County warrant for probation violation.

Regional Jail

Jose Luis Quevedo Millan, 37, 2362 Tucker Rd., Hood River, was arrested at the regional jail on a court commitment for probation violation.
