Oregon State Police

March 26, 4:20 p.m. – Single vehicle, minor-injury accident, State Route 35, milepost 96 southbound. Vehicle driven by Branden T. Jivery, 19, 6290 Miller Road, Mount Hood, left roadway, ran over a large information sign and traveled approximately 240 feet through gravel, a creek ditch and brush before coming to an uncontrolled stop. Driver transported to Hood River Hospital. He was cited for failure to drive within lane.

The Dalles City

Items were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1100 block of Shearer Street Tuesday morning.

A vacant home in the 2500 block of East 10th Street was found to have been entered through a broken window.

A business in the 2500 block of West 2nd Street was reported broken into Tuesday morning. Lock was cut off door, but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

A man reported he placed an envelope with $101 inside on top of his car in the 600 block of Sherman Drive and drove away. Information taken.

Officers provided civil standby for a man removing personal items from a home in the 1300 block of East 10th Tuesday morning. He needed the standby due to a “no contact” order after his morning release from jail.

A car prowl was reported in the 1800 block of West Second Tuesday morning. Subject yelled at suspect, who left.

A man was arrested in the 1800 block of West 10th Street following a disturbance in which he attempted to break a window with a shovel and faces charges of fourth-degree assault and parole violations.

Wasco County

A report for identity theft was taken from a subject in the 66000 block of Boyd Loop Road Tuesday afternoon.

A report was taken in the 7,000 block of Dell Road for forgery and theft Tuesday afternoon.

A report was taken for forgery and theft in the first degree from a subject in the 1100 block of Starlight Street West.

A male juvenile was taken into custody following a domestic disturbance in the 1800 block of West 10th Street Tuesday night.

Regional Jail

David A. Taylor, 41, 29615 153rd Street Court E, Kaposin, Wash., was arrested on I-84 eastbound milepost 145 and is charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Bridger James Leigh Grannis, 29, The Dalles, was lodged at NORCOR Tuesday evening and faces first charges of degree burglary, violation of a restraining order and harassment.

Dylan R. Lowe, 19, The Dalles, was lodged at NORCOR Tuesday evening and faces charges of contempt of court.

Nicholas G. McCabe, 22, was lodged at NORCOR Tuesday evening and faces charges of possession of methamphetamine.

Parole and Probation

Samantha J. Roettger, 24, The Dalles, was lodged at NORCOR and charged with probation violations, possession of heroin.

Correction

A story in the March 22 Chronicle on the sentencing of David Henry Holt, 41, for sex abuse, incorrectly stated who reported the crime. The parents of a girl who witnessed the crime, not the victim, reported it to the police.
