Letter to the Editor: A new wife

— A new wife

To the editor:

After 69 years of marriage, I have a new wife! The care of Flagstone was able to heal my wife in such a way that she has been released from Atrium and is now back home.

June 2012, I took my wife to the emergency room where she was diagnosed with three different major conditions.

Her body needed to be cleansed from the illnesses attacking her. While in Atrium 4 months my wife was slowly getting impatient and wanting to return home. Two months later, because of the great and loving care from the staff at Flagstone and prescription medicines she was released from Atrium by her third doctor and was finally able to return home.

Three months prior to this she interviewed with her second doctor where she was given a template of a clock and asked to draw the numbers on it. She unfortunately could not do it. Jan. 11, she was given the same task again by her third doctor, this time not just to draw the numbers on the clock, but to then draw the time being 10 minutes to 11 o’clock. She drew the clock numbers and time perfectly. That is the day my wife was released from Flagstones Atrium care and returned home.

She still has good and not so good days, but her overall mental and physical conditions are improving day by day, week by week!

It is not very often that people heal enough in Atrium to return home. That is why I wanted to extend my gratitude to Flagstone’s loving and caring staff who helped make this possible. Thank you Flagstone for all of your help.
