Church news in brief

St. Alphonsus Church

With the beginning of Daylight Savings Time, St. Alphonsus Church in Dufur will have Mass at 7 p.m., Saturday nights. St. Mary’s Maupin’s Mass will be Saturday at 5 p.m., the exception being Easter Sunday when St. Alphonsus will have Mass on Easter at 8:30 a.m. and Maupin at 11 a.m. The 7 p.m. Saturday night Mass will continue until October. The reason for the change is that Father Fabian Nwokorie has four parishes, two in Sherman County and two in Wasco County and they trade times.
