Letter to the Editor: Seeking justice for daughter

— Seeking justice

To the editor:

To the editor: I want to share with you an injustice being done to my daughter. My daughter is 12 years old and suffers from many health problems and while I was gone during the weekend of April 12 to April 15 (I went to jail for something I knew nothing about and was released on that Monday morning).

My daughter’s dog was given away without her permission or mine. We have been fighting to get her dog, Georgia, back since then. Klickitat County Sheriff says it is a civil manner. Wasco County says it is a civil manner as well. Even if I take this to civil court, the courts can’t force the woman to give me back our dog. The woman who has her refuses to return her.

Since this has happened my daughter has been sick and continues to get sicker. I have done everything to distract her and help her to feel better and it only helps for a little while. Where is the justice for my daughter?
