Letter to the Editor: Take country back

— To the editor:

It’s starting again, career politicians have learned that the first vote might not pass, but if you “resubmit” your bill you will eventually cause people to say, “what’s the use?”

At that point they win and we lose. This makes me upset. They know the tricks and they will lie and do everything possible to make you give up. Don’t — not if you want to continue to live in a country protected by the constitution I once took an oath to defend.

If you have been in the military you took the same oath. This is your call to action. Take action and send a letter to the people that are supposed to represent you.

They are not concerned about protecting children; if they were they would end abortion (55 million dead). They would pay to have armed police in every school.

Ask President Obama who protects his wife and children.

It’s time for the people to take back this country. Stand up with peaceful letters of resistance. Tell them you’ve had enough, and you will know how they vote, and if they don’t vote to uphold the constitution in every way, they will be looking for a job after the next election, regardless how many years they’ve been there.

There is a bad smell in DC. It’s time for a real cleaning, not just a BO change.

This is not in support of Republicans or Democrats. They have all become a foul smell.

This is in support of the constitution, and anyone that has the nerve to defend it peacefully, without more violence.

Let’s work to insure the rights of all people, not just select groups, or genders, or faiths, or ethnic groups. Let’s prove that the power of the pen and Internet is more powerful than the sword.

Send letters, emails, flood Facebook. Tell the politicians to leave our rights alone and to do the work they were sent there to do.

Fix the budget, create a job-friendly environment throughout our country, sign the pipeline bill and fix our energy problems. All else is a smoke screen and is designed to control law abiding citizens.

You don’t need to send money to anyone. Just take action and write. Make use of that computer you’re sitting in front of. The Arabs had their spring. Now it’s time for the American Thunderstorm.
