May 3, 9:43 a.m. – Single vehicle versus parked car, non-injury accident, West 10th and Mt. Hood streets. Lawrence Waggoner, 53, 3321 West 13th St. was the involved driver. Waggoner was cited for driving uninsured and a report was taken.

May 4, 9:52 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, Highway 197 and Lone Pine Drive. Officer assisted with information exchange, no report or citations issued.

May 4, 10:41 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 1400 block of West 6th Street. Officer assisted with information exchange.

May 4, 11:43 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, West 11th and Liberty streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of information, no report or citations issued.

May 4, 9:59 p.m. – Skateboarder versus parked vehicle, West 11th and Liberty streets. Abben Boreman, 19, 1114 Trevitt St. was the involved skater. Boreman had struck a parked vehicle while skating in the area. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

May 6, 5:54 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, West 14th and Bridge streets. Officer assisted with the exchange of information; no report or citations issued.

May 6, 12:03 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 2100 block of West 6th Street. Deputy assisted with information exchange, no report or citation issued.

Rescue

May 3, 9:13 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 800 block of Chenowith Loop Road on a smoke investigation. Nothing was showing in the area upon arrival. Contact was made with owners of an auto mechanic shop who advised they turned on a vehicle and heavy exhaust was coming from the vehicle. No problem was found.

May 4, 11:00 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 2500 block of West 13th Street on a smoke investigation. A burn pile was found that was being attended by the property owner who had a hose to cool the fire down. No problem was found.

May 4, 9:18 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 800 block of Case Street on a burn complaint. A fire pit was located that was being used for cooking; no problem was found.

May 5, 5:24 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 1700 block of East 19th Street on a report of a water flow alarm. Investigation discovered that a washing machine in the wash room was overheating and the steam from that caused the alarm to trigger.

May 5, 11:30 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 6900 block of Highway 30 on a report of a grass fire. Two small burn piles were found near one another unattended. They were extinguished; the cause of the fire is unknown.

May 5, 4:43 p.m. – Personnel responded to the area of Sandlin Road on a report of a fire. Investigation discovered that dust clouds were being observed from the area from a rally race; no problem was found.

May 6, 6:11 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 5000 block of Anderson Way on a report of an out of control large burn that was unattended. A large burn was found in an orchard that was being tended to with a water source. Property owner did have a permit; no problem was found.

Personnel also responded to nine calls for emergency medical services on Friday, five on Saturday, six on Sunday and twelve on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 2900 block of East 2nd Street Friday morning after a victim reported someone stole some items off his property and damage a lock to a storage container. Reports for third-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief were taken.

Police responded to Interstate 84 eastbound, near exit 87 Friday afternoon on a report of a female subject walking in front of vehicles at the exit and flashing her breasts at passing motorists. Contact was made with the subject who was warned of her conduct and was taken back to her residence.

An informational report was taken Friday afternoon from the 1200 block of West 6th Street after a subject advised another male subject violated a restraining order. Investigation found that both sides of the story were extremely different and there were no grounds to make an arrest due to that.

A criminal mischief report was taken Friday evening from the 800 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported his motorcycle had been keyed overnight.

A theft report was taken Friday evening from the 1200 block of West 6th Street after a victim reported he lost his cell phone at a store a few months ago.

Police responded to the 3900 block of West 6th Street Friday evening after a caller reported seeing a male victim get beaten inside a vehicle then thrown out of the vehicle. Officers checked the area for the suspects and the victim but no one was located.

A third-degree theft report was taken Friday evening from the 2100 block of West 6th Street after an employee advised a suspect drove off without paying for gas.

Daniel Lee Jackson, 63, 1416 East 10th St., was arrested early Saturday morning at his home on a circuit court warrant for parole violation and a Hood River county warrant for probation violation.

An unlawful entry into a motor vehicle and theft reports were taken Saturday afternoon from the 1000 block of East 7th Street after a victim reported his unlocked vehicle had some items taken overnight.

Leslie Allen Bursell, 48, 1106 Emerson St. No. 12, was arrested Saturday afternoon in the 900 block of Irvine Street and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Police responded to West 9th and Trevitt Streets Saturday evening after a caller reported a female subject was lying in the roadway and causing issues in the area. Contact was made with the subject who advised she was lying in the road to see if anyone could see her because she though she was deceased. She was warned of her conduct and asked to move along.

A violation of a restraining order report was taken Saturday evening from the 200 block of West 15th Street after a victim reported her husband was attempting to contact her online which violates the restraining order; the incident is under investigation.

John David Warkentin, 41, 913 Pomona St. Unit B, was arrested Saturday evening in his home and is accused of harassment and interference with making a report.

Police responded to the 3000 block of West 10th Street Saturday evening on a report of a domestic disturbance. Contact was made with the subjects involved who advised they were having a verbal dispute. Some friends came to stay with the subjects to keep the peace.

Police responded to the 600 block of East 4th Street Saturday evening on a report of a robbery. Contact was made with the victim who greeted officers at the door and was in possession of a handgun. Victim stated there were several subjects in his home but police searched and no one was found. An informational report was taken.

An informational report was taken Sunday morning from the 1100 block of Lewis Street after a mother advised her juvenile stepson exposed himself to his stepsister. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 1400 block of West 6th Street Sunday afternoon on a report of a theft. Employee stated a male customer walked out without paying for alcohol and other store items. A second-degree theft report was taken.

Police responded to the 1100 block of West 2nd Street Sunday afternoon on a report of a rolling domestic dispute. Contact was made with the vehicle and the subjects who advised they were verbally arguing over a civil dispute. Both were warned of their conduct.

Police responded to the 1900 block of East 13th Street Sunday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made at the residence and a mother advised their kids were arguing over a popsicle; no problem was found.

Police responded to East 9th and Dry Hollow streets Sunday evening after a victim reported he was walking in the area when a male subject came out and attempted to punch him. The area was searched for the suspect but no one was found.

Debra Jo West, 41, 3504 West 2nd St., was arrested early Monday morning in the 300 block of Pentland Street and was arrested on a Gilliam County warrant for first-degree criminal mischief.

A burglary report was taken Monday morning in the 200 block of East 14th Street after a victim reported his home was broken into overnight and the home had been rummaged through.

Police responded to the 2400 block of East 12th Street Monday morning on a report of an attempted suicide. Contact was made with the victim who was voluntarily taken to the hospital for evaluation.

A first-degree theft report was taken Monday morning from the 900 block of East 13th Street after a victim reported a firearm was stolen from her home.

Tanner Sinclair Carrico, 37, no listed address, was arrested Monday morning in the 400 block of East 7th Street and is accused of violation of post-prison supervision sanctions and resisting arrest.

A criminal mischief report was taken Monday morning from the 500 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported her vehicle was damaged overnight.

Police responded to the 700 block of West 9th Street Monday afternoon on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the father and juvenile son. Father had yelled at the son for doing a poor job mowing the lawn; they were warned of their conduct.

Misty Dawn Poole, 40, 3640 West 13th St. No. F1, was arrested Monday afternoon at Sorosis park and is accused of second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

A theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the 800 block of East 13th Street after a victim reported someone took his ipod.

A second-degree theft report was taken Monday evening from the 800 block of Hostetler Way after a victim advised some hidden money was stolen from his home.

A telephonic harassment report was taken Monday evening from the 2000 block of West Scenic Drive after a victim reported a female suspect continues to call and text after being told not to.

Police responded to the 2100 block of West 6th Street Monday evening after a caller witnessed a male subject looking into vehicles in the parking lot. Suspect fled when police were en-route leaving behind some property. An informational report was taken.

Joseph Daniel Williams, 28, no listed address, was arrested early Tuesday morning in the 2600 block of West 6th Street and is accused of second-degree criminal mischief.

Wasco County

A stolen property report was taken Friday evening from The Dalles Marina after a boat’s hull number was found to be tampered with.

Deputy responded to the 5300 block of Company Hollow Road on a report of a domestic dispute between a brother and step father. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

Christopher Jessie Shorty, 33, Moses Lake, was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop on East 3rd and Union streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Alvin Edward Brown, 58, 1204 Irvine St., was arrested early Saturday morning in the 3800 block of West 10th Street and is accused of harassment and first-degree criminal trespass.

A stolen vehicle report was taken Saturday morning from the 2100 block of Lambert Street.

Deputy responded to Maupin Saturday afternoon on a report of an unruly tenant. Subject was taken into custody on a police officer’s hold as he was a danger to himself and other tenants and transported to the hospital.

Deputy responded to Maupin Saturday afternoon after a victim reported some items were stolen from his storage unit. Reports for first-degree theft and second-degree burglary were taken.

Deputy responded to the 300 block of East 3rd Street early Sunday morning on a report of a fight. During the investigation it was determined that everyone’s accounts of what happened were different and no crime could be established. An informational report was taken.

Deputy responded to Wamic early Sunday morning on a report that subject was driving through the airstrip tearing up the runway. Suspect agreed to pay for any damages he may have done to the runway.

Deputy responded to the 3000 block of West 10th Street Sunday afternoon on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the female half who advised a male subject grabbed her arm and pushed her mom down during the incident. Investigation discovered that no physical harm was actually done and no one was pushed. The incident was logged.

Deputy responded to the 4300 block of Orchard Road Sunday evening on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the subjects involved and the incident was both verbal and there was some mutual harassment between some of the parties. No one wished to pursue charges and everyone was warned of their conduct.

Deputy responded to the 2400 block of West 10th Street Sunday evening on a report of a subject pointing a rifle at passing vehicles. Contact was made with the subject who was shooting a bb gun at a plastic target Subject was told to stop.

Eric Rene O’Connor, 36, Dufur, was arrested Sunday evening at the sheriff’s office on a municipal court warrant for contempt of court and a circuit court warrant for failure to appear.

Deputy responded to Tygh Valley Sunday evening on a report of a death. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.

Deputy responded to Dufur Monday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the subject involved who advised the argument was verbal. The male half was leaving for the remainder of the day.

A recovered stolen vehicle report was taken Monday afternoon from East 13th and Richmond streets.

Oregon State Police

Trooper assisted in traffic control Monday on Interstate 84 eastbound, near milepost 128 after a vehicle caught fire which spread to the brush. The fire was extinguished and the vehicle was towed.

Gilliam County

Jaime Dawn Fuerstenberg, 37, Boardman, was arrested Sunday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 141 and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Rebecca May Jones, 25, Arlington, was arrested Sunday afternoon and is accused of fourth-degree domestic assault.

Regional Jail

Victor Stephen Campos, 33, Hood River, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for probation violation.

Parole and Probation

Daryl Dean Coleman, 31, 1529 East 12th St., was arrested Friday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of parole violation.
