TOPS honors top members

“The Apples of TOPS Eyes,” was the theme the recent 2012 annual awards and installation of 2013 officers for TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) OR0443, The Dalles.

Betty Bright was crowned chapter queen. Previous chapter queens were also recognized: Shirley Ulrich, Maxine Turner, Bobbie Lobdell, Pat Veene and Pat Trevis.

Division winners for the year were: Bright, Kelly Stone, Bette Isaacson, Debra Newkirk and JuDee Clark.

KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly) who had no red marks in 2012 were Turner, Ada Marie Haake, Bobetta Stewart and Eula Meader.

Perfect attendance for 2012 was shared by two members, Bright and Viola Park.

The 2012 outgoing chapter angel, Rebecca Sexton, presented the 2013 chapter angel, Maxine Turner, with a certificate.

New officers for 2013 were installed, including Bonnie Lobdell, leader; Joyce Thody, co-leader; Betty Bright, secretary; and Viola Park, treasurer. Weight recorders are Rose Denslinger and Maxine Turner.

TOPS is a nonprofit charitable corporation engaged in research and group activity in weight control since 1948.

Its mission is to support members as they take off and keep off pounds sensibly.
