May 10, 12:27 p.m. – Single vehicle versus parked vehicle, non-injury crash, 300 block of East 4th Street. Subject parked too close to another vehicle causing minor damage; officer assisted with information exchange.

May 12, 6:28 a.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, West 7th and Walnut streets. Sammy Leu, 20, 300 East 11th Street was the involved driver. Leu was cited for careless driving and the vehicle was towed; a report was taken.

May 13, 10:28 a.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 3300 block of West 6th Street. John Martin, 74, 950 Pomona St. No. 168 and Kim McClendon, 62, Goldendale were the involved drivers. A report was taken but no citations were issued.

May 13, 6:34 p.m. – Two vehicle, non-injury crash, 1200 block of West 6th Street. Lee Berlinsky, 63, Heppner and Benjamin Beaver, 27, 3132 West 10th St. were the involved drivers. A report was taken but no citations were issued.

Rescue

May 10, 12:19 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 6200 block of Chenowith Road on a report of a brush fire. Investigation discovered the fire had spread from an open burn; the fire was extinguished.

May 11, 12:44 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 3300 block of Browns Creek Road on a report of an unattended open burn. Upon arrival a property owner was standing by a burn pile with a garden hose and a shovel. They also had a valid burning permit and no problem was found.

May 12, 9:59 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 100 block of West Scenic Drive on a report of a brush fire. Investigation discovered a property owner was burning and thought they extinguished the fire and went inside. Upon coming out an hour later the fire had spread. The fire was extinguished.

May 12, 12:40 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 76 on a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival an occupant was sitting in the vehicle and no flames or smoke was observed. The vehicle owner advised that the gauges were acting funny and steam or smoke came from the engine so they pulled over. Investigation discovered the engine had overheated; no problem found.

May 13, 9:50 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 300 block of West 16th Street on a report of smoke coming from a laundry room. Investigation discovered that an electrical box had shorted, causing the smoke. Thermal imaging of the walls and ceiling did not show any further sources of heat. The tenant and landlord were advised to have an electrician fix the problem before re-using.

Personnel also responded to five calls for emergency medical services on Friday, four on Saturday, seven on Sunday and four on Monday.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Police responded to the 1300 block of Jefferson Street Friday afternoon after a roommate reported that he could hear his roommate huffing inhalants from cans. Contact was made with the suspect who admitted such activity and she was cited for possession and use of inhalants. Police responded back to the home later in the afternoon after the cited female called 911 to report the other roommate was smoking marijuana. Contact was made again with both subjects; the now accused did not allow officers to search his part of the home but declined smoking marijuana. The other roommate was warned of calling 911 for non-emergencies.

Police responded to the 1400 block of West 2nd Street Friday afternoon on a report of a disturbance. Caller advised a male subject was seen beating up a vehicle in a parking lot. The area was searched but no subject was found.

Linda Harrison, 28, 1311 Jefferson St., was arrested Friday evening in her home and is accused of harassment, resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of inhalants.

A stolen vehicle report was taken early Saturday morning from the 200 block of East 2nd Street.

A found property report was taken Saturday morning from the 900 block of Lincoln Street after a property owner advised a bicycle was left on his property. The bike was impounded.

Police initiated a traffic stop Saturday morning at East 9th and J streets with a stolen vehicle in which a report was taken earlier in the morning. Investigation discovered the victim’s mother had recovered the vehicle from the suspect. Victim made contact with officers and advised she did not want to pursue charges any longer.

A theft report was taken Saturday afternoon from the 100 block of East 15th Street after a victim reported a license plate was stolen from his vehicle.

A theft report was taken Saturday evening from the 3200 block of Bret Clodfelter Way after an employee reported that a suspect left the station without paying for gas.

An informational report was taken Saturday evening from the 800 block of Hostetler Way after a victim came home to find the gate to his backyard open. While checking the area the victim found a male subject carrying his dog, The victim confronted the subject and the dog was returnedand then the suspect ran away. The incident is under investigation.

Police responded to the 2000 block of East 12th Street early Sunday morning on a report of a disturbance.

Caller advised a male subject could be heard screaming and crying and the noise has been going on for several hours. Contact was made with a male subject who advised he was depressed since his mother died recently. He advised he’d keep the noise down.

A burglary report was taken Sunday morning from the 1600 block of Riverview Street after a victim reported that someone entered his shop and took some items from within.

A theft report was taken Sunday evening from the 1000 block of East 9th Street after a victim reported someone entered her apartment while she was sleeping and took her computer.

John Wendell Edde, 58, Bingen, was arrested Sunday evening during a traffic stop at East 1st and Federal streets and is accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamines.

Police responded to the 900 block of Home Street early Monday morning on a report of a domestic dispute. Contact was made with the involved subjects who advised they were having a verbal dispute over the male half missing a bus to work. They were warned of their conduct.

A theft report was taken Monday afternoon from the 1200 block of East 12th Street after a victim reported their neighbor was stealing their electricity; the incident is under investigation.

A fourth-degree assault report was taken Monday afternoon in the 200 block of East 10th Street after a victim reported he was assaulted by another male suspect while walking in the area. The incident is under investigation.

A hit and run report was taken Monday evening from the 100 block of West 2nd Street.

Wasco County

Deputy responded to West 6th and Webber streets on a report of a hit and run. Suspect was eventually stopped near Rowena as victim was following the suspect. Suspect was cited for failure to perform the duties of a driver.

Fawn Joely Boorman, 38, 2800 West 7th St. No. 8, was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop at Taylor Lake and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants.

Davis Keoki-Lui I’Aulualo, 28, 1130 Lorenzen Ct., was arrested early Saturday morning during a traffic stop on West 6th and Webber streets and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and three counts of probation violation.

A theft report was taken Saturday morning from the 4500 block of Highway 30 after a victim reported a vehicle was broken into and had some items missing from within.

Deputy responded to Mayer State Park Saturday evening on a report of a careless jet ski driver. Contact was made with the subject and he was cited for no boater’s education card and operating without certificate of registration.

Deputy responded to Blue Hold on the Deschutes River Sunday afternoon on a report of shots fired. Caller reported observing two subjects at the crest of the hill shooting toward the river. Contact was made with two juveniles who were shooting at ground squirrels. They were counseled on their conduct with their parents.

Deputy responded to the 3700 block of West 13th Street Monday morning on a report of a burglary. Staff advised someone gained entry into the abandoned middle school and damaged some property. A report was taken and is under investigation.

Oregon State Police

A search warrant was served Friday afternoon of an inmate’s property at the regional jail. Some items were seized and the incident is under investigation.

Sherman County

Jeremy Paul Mashore, 35, Vancouver, was arrested Saturday evening in Biggs and is accused of violation of a restraining order.

Justin Mycheal Horrell, 30, 1609 E. 12th St., was arrested Sunday afternoon in Wasco and is accused of three counts of probation violation and providing false information to a police officer.

Toni Michelle Wilson, 53, Wasco, was arrested Monday evening in her home and is accused of probation violation.

Gilliam County

Claudio Franco, 37, Escondido, Calif., was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84, milepost 134 and is accused of violation of a restraining order.

Patricia Lynn Sturgill, 34, Salt Lake City, Utah; was arrested Friday evening during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 135 and is accused of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Regional Jail

Joseph Leland Miller, 47, Spokane, was booked and released Friday on a Sherman County court commitment for unlawful possession of methamphetamines, driving under the influence of intoxicants, and possession of a controlled substance.

Joey Lee Sherwood, 36, 817 East 16th St., was booked and released Friday on a circuit court commitment for driving while suspended.

Debra Sue Galvez, 53, Redmond, was booked and released Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving while suspended.

Vernie Lavone Dempsey, 46, no listed address, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for prohibition on disposal of certain solid waste at disposal site, depositing trash within 100 yards of water, offensive littering, and second-degree criminal trespass.

Treane Lishele Wells, Goldendale, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for second-degree theft.

Abben Holt Boorman, 19, 1610 Garrison St., was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for third-degree theft.

Jerry David Espeland, 55, Tygh Valley, was jailed Monday on a circuit court commitment for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

Parole and Probation

Heidi Fawn Fisher Perez, 32, 2700 West 7th St. No. 32, was arrested Monday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of probation violation.
