Speaker’s Forum

The Mid-Columbia Fellowship of Churches invites the public to its monthly Speaker’s Forum at The First United Methodist Church at 5 p.m. May 28. The speaker will be US Army Chaplain Daniel Thompson, who will be talking on “Partners in Care.”

The church is located at 305 East 11th St. across the street from the high school. Coffee and a light snack served will be served.

The Dalles Aglow

The Dalles Aglow Lighthouse’s next meeting is Monday, May 20, at 6:45 p.m. at Harvest Foursquare Church. Local businesswoman Marcella Clark will be the speaker.

“Marcella has a heart to encourage and edify through prophecy, and her desire is to partner with Holy Spirit to raise up a prophetic culture in honor, order, and protocol according to the word of God,” a press release stated. “A focus for Marcella is to see mindsets changed and eyes opened to see our identities in Christ, and to see the gifts stir amongst the sons and daughters of God.”

Harvest Foursquare is at 2500 Old Dufur Road in The Dalles. The event starts at 6:15 p.m. with coffee and fellowship. Attendees are encouraged to bring a snack to share. For more information call local Aglow president Wendy Wham at 541-340-0026.

Gateway Presbyterian

This Sunday, Interim Pastor Rich Zimmerman will share the message at the 8:30 a.m. traditional service and 11 a.m. contemporary service. There will be a congregational meeting this Sunday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Wednesday programs are: a Parenting Today class at 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m. youth group, 6:30 p.m. women’s Bible study and men’s Bible study, and children’s ministries.
