Islanders get license break

— SALEM (AP) — The Legislature has agreed that Oregon residents from three Pacific Ocean island nations won’t have to renew their driver’s licenses each year. The state Senate unanimously passed the bill Monday. The Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Republic of Palau have an agreement with the United States that permits citizens live in the U.S. for an unlimited amount of time.
