Mid-Columbia Fire and Rescue hosted an open house at the main fire station Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event included tours of the fire station, display of emergency vehicles, demonstrations and an opportunity for the community to ask questions about their fire department.

Children also participated in a Junior Firefighter Challenge that simulates the National Firefighter Challenge on firefighter tasks on an emergency scene.
