Letter to the Editor: Too much cleavage?

— To the editor:

From the teller at the bank to the cashier at the check-out counter, I think there must be a new fad or else why are they wearing their necklines so low as to show cleavage?

Do they have no modesty? Is modesty a forgotten virtue? Am I the only one who thinks it is not right?

Dear Dorothy,

Modesty has gone out the window! Why would women walk down the street in clothes that expose their fat mid-drift because their tops are too short or their pants too low? I think it's crazy but what do I know, I was a teenager in the 60's admiring the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Grace Kelly for instance. The cleavage issue you address is the lack of any dress standard in business not to mention personal choice. It's good in some ways that the women aren't self-conscience and have a great body image but like I always say to my "girls", "Don't you have any sense of propriety?" Well, I guess not but not to worry, the next generation will more than likely turn it around again like most things.
