Customer for life

To the editor:

I am not one to write letters to the editor. I feel however that this needs to be expressed. I am getting married on Dec. 7 and I chose to shop local for my bride’s wedding ring. I chose J.D. Smith Jewelers to provide me with a platinum band.

The owner, Jason was super helpful and very accommodating. He was honest and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find the right ring. After I submitted my order, I received a call from Jason a short time later that the ring I had ordered had not passed the strict standards of the ring company and they were having to remake the ring.

Jason shared that the ring company would not be able to guarantee the ring would arrive until Dec. 6 (one day before my wedding) at minimum.

Jason chose to lose money on this by providing me with a better than ordered ring and didn’t charge me a cent more than the lesser ring I had ordered.

Jason earned a customer for life and a strong advocate on why we all should shop local whenever possible. Thank you Jason and please shop J.D. Smith Jewelers and all other local businesses whenever possible.
